Liftoff in Ten...
Mandictious sat in her big, white Captain’s Chair, working the controls. She hit the power switch and was promptly asked for her password on the screen. She entered the code on the side panel and then waited for the Screen.
"Welcome," the machine said, its robotic voice showing no emotion whatsoever.
“Hello,†Mandictious replied, sitting up straighter in her chair. “Can you check up on everything? I want to make sure everything’s running smoothly before Liftoff.â€
“Certainly.â€
The machine’s screen changed, showing numerous graphs and numbers for a moment before the computers voice said, “Everything is running smoothly, Captain.â€
“Good,†she said, hopping down from her chair. Despite was the computer had said, Mandictious still felt that she was missing something important. Trying to get rid of nagging feeling, she decided to check on the food supply, because she knew it would be a long journey to the moon and she needed as much food as possible. She walked over to the food supply closet and flipped open a small panel on the side, and quickly entered her password.
Click. The doors unlatched, so she opened up the doors and walked inside. When she’d created the aircraft she made sure there was a code on the food storage door because she knew that someone was bound to sneak on and eat her supplies.
Looking around, she saw the shelves were stocked full of food for the journey ahead of her: three cookies, a jug of milk, and enough lollipops to last her for the 100 year long journey. Satisfied, she turned around to begin liftoff…
