The golden hairbrush unwittingly lay on the desk in between a meager amount of books. Looking back, the boys would wonder how it got there. How the hairbrush was taken out of the old antique shop in Shadowglen and how it will find its way back is a story for another day... The cabinet, like a guardian overlooking the room, was full of dolls, books and other belongings fitting for the bedroom of an 8 year old girl. Except this bedroom doesn't belong to a child, at least not any more...
One odd looking porcelain doll looked particularly precarious perched on the edge of the bottom shelf. As the clock chimed 3 o'clock, a blinding aura radiated around the golden hairbrush on the desk. Suddenly, an eerie creaking noise pierced the room. The sound came from the cabinet and within a few moments the noise died down as the transformation completed. The odd looking porcelain doll, once stiff and sat rigidly on the shelf, was suddenly standing, alive, made of flesh and blood. The doll stood taking in the room before her. She moved swiftly towards the door knowing she had precisely 120 minutes before the enchantment wore off for another day, returning her to her former doll state.
