SEOUL

In 2019, I moved to South Korea. I spent three of the best years of my life there. This an ode to a happy time in my life and to my favourite city in the world. My experience in South Korea is embedded within the structure of my life and contributed hugely to my identity and outlook on life today.

If you get the opportunity to go to Seoul, I would recommend visiting in a heartbeat! If you want recommendations for a trip, feel free to drop me a comment and I can make some suggestions. Do note that, unfortunately, I haven't been able to return to Seoul since I left in 2022.

In the meantime, I spend my time now in England, daydreaming on cloudy days about tteokbokki in the streets of Seoul, the Han River at sunset, drinking soju with friends, and most importantly, the sense that I could carve out a life for myself independently. A life with meaning, beauty and connection.
