harri is a famous tv presenter whose witty charm gathered him quite the following. aside from presenting, he is also active behind the cameras when it comes to scheduling, advertising, tracking ratings, etc.

also the son of a parliamentary from an "old money" family. harri's childhood was v sheltered and wealthy so he's ??? about a lot of "common folk" things
we're talking about i don't know how the subway works levels of incompetence

oh and also while he does look like a good guy™ harri is actually the personification of greed and hedonism, lives only for himself, and enjoys manipulating people just to see how far he can go

BOY WHERE DO I EVEN START WITH HARRI

alright so something harri never talks about is his mental health. he struggles with obsessive and paranoid thoughts but believes he is doing a great job keeping them under control. these thoughts mostly revolve around his job, so how the ratings are going, public image, competing programmes... they also turn violent and vindictive real quick. he avoids alcohol and drugs because he knows they make his paranoia worse but sometimes the parties he attends get a little crazy

harri meets kizuki at a party hosted by an acquaintance; basically harri lost a chunk of viewers because of a new programme he believes "stole" his viewers. he's out for revenge and gets told of "an incredible car thief" who is kizuki but actually kizuki just lied about that (as he does) and has no idea how to break into a car. regardless, the two meet up because harri wants a competing tv presenter's fancy ass sports car crashed. but kizuki just sets it on fire instead (the guy wasn't inside nobody got hurt okay)

that's the start of a weird friendship. harri thinks of kizuki as lower than him because i mean, you know kizuki?? he's a homeless junkie who jumps from couch to couch and wastes his life away chasing the high. but harri also likes how... compliant? kizuki is. harri thinks of kizuki as a loose dog who will do just about anything he's told, but is also loose and not to be trusted (not that harri trusts anyone anyway). harri can live out his more questionable, violent impulses through kizuki and that's damn nice. for his part, kizuki loves the attention he receives from harri and becomes obsessed with him
