Introduction

Sometimes, on those days where my head hurts and my vision blurs, I wish that I was still in the dark to the true nature of the world. My life had been simple and sensible, if not exactly peaceful. Not that it ever has been, but I could still walk the streets without looking behind my back for fear of my life. I could converse with others without immediately catching subtle signs and profiling strangers.Of course, that all changed with my first kill.

Now I spend my days surviving one encounter after the other and going to the local bar; trying to forget it all. I know I cannot stop, for if I do, who's to say they won't get me when my back is turned? Who's to say she wont come and finish the job?
