The Gilraptor KY-R is a rare type of wild zoid whose origins can be traced back to the Guylos Empire and the continent of Nyx. It is highly adaptive in combat due to an ancient organoid system integrated deep within the zoid's core. The intelligence system allows the zoid to learn from past battles to better predict an opponent's attack, making it that much harder to beat in the next battle. In addition to being highly intelligent, zoids possessing an organoid core also behave as sentient beings, with the ability to show a certain degree of understanding and even have unique personalities. Unlike other zoids, they can choose their pilots and often form close bonds in the partnerships. The bond is said to be so strong that the zoid will often feed off it's pilot's emotions and can detect when their pilot becomes distressed.
The Gilraptor KY-R got its name from unusual markings found on one of its leg armor plates. It is unknown if KY-R is a unit number as no other types of these wild zoids have been found intact.
Trapped in a layer of thick ice and frozen in a frigid cave, KY-R was recovered by Guylos imperial soldiers and sent to a secure base where a diagnostics team worked on repairing the zoid. Although fully restored, KY-R went beserk whenever a pilot attempted to enter controls in the cockpit. It ultimately shut itself down and was deemed unsafe to pilot. This was not, however, the first mysterious zoid to be found in Guylos and it is said that the Empire first developed Ultimate X zoids from other organoid zoids like KY-R.
It wasn't until over 100 years after the fall of the Guylos Empire that the secluded zoid development base was discovered. A young pilot namedWesker stumbled upon the zoid and was caught off guard when it activated on its own volition. Despite the prolonged stasis, KY-R (now named "Kyr") appeared to be functioning at full capacity. It allowed Wesker to enter the cockpit before blasting a massive hole in the wall to escape the facility.
Kyr is extremely temperamental. It may act out in defiance if it feels neglected or doesn't like the situation it's in. Always ready for a fight, Kyr is not one to shy away from a challenge and has won many battles in it's lifetime. When not in a battle, Kyr still enjoys being taken out for training and exercise.
