Oswin loves a nice dress shirt. It doesn’t matter whether it’s paired with a set of jeans or black slacks (though he much prefers the latter); if the cut’s good, the material outstanding, and the cuffs of the sleeves particularly crisp, it’s a standard top by his books. Second on his list of favourite things are quirky little bowties, so it isn’t surprising that he often pairs the two together when he gets dressed.

His impeccable taste in clothing is the reason as to why wherever Oswin goes, he goes in style. Sure, he receives the odd look now and again as he parades around campus, but more often than not he would hear the faint sound of a camera shutter snapping his photo, especially if he was walking around the art department (which is quite frequently, considering his architectural classes were right beside it due to some strange floor planning).

Oswin didn't wear his bow tie assemble in order to garner attention though; his boyish good looks reaped him enough of that, though he always thought that he really could do without it. He wore the attire because he liked to; plain and simple. He enjoys the feel of the fabric stretching against his thin thighs when he bikes around the city, the coolness of the wind blowing through his shirt, and the pure exhilaration that accompanied zooming through the city on two one and half inch wide rubber wheels.

Plus, his mother always told him that smart men dressed smartly, and since Oswin is such a mama's boy he does what his dear old mummy tells him to.

Oswin knows that a good outfit comes with responsibilities. He could not wear such nice clothing and act like a slob, so he carries himself with good grace and kindness. He isn't stuck up, heavens no. He’s the type to go out of his way to help somebody out without expecting anything in return, and the one people tended to turn to when they needed cheering up. He enjoys talking, and can speak his mind about anything under the sun, though he does try to remember to be polite and not always just blurt out whatever is on his mind. He is also protective (sometimes overbearingly so), naive, and just a ball of energy and sunshine (his best friends would tell you that he was just that, almost quite literally). He enjoys meeting new people, though he doesn't quite know what personal space is and can be considered 'nosy', though it is always through good intentions and absolutely not for gossip material (god, he hates those kinds of boys and girls). Oswin is also quite emotional, and tends to tear up whenever he’s watching a particularly depressing part of a film, whether it’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II ( "No, Snape nooo! Nooo you can't die! Noooo! I won't forgive you! Nooooo!" ), Captain America ( "Steve had a daaate! He had a date! He missed his date! He can't miss his date, she was the love of his liiiiffeee. Nooooooo!" ), or Toy Story 3 ( "No, Woody! No, Buzz! Noooo Andy! Noo you can't grow up! Nooooo!" ). Oswin is just a very emotional boy.

This being said, Oswin is the type that is also easily hurt. It only takes a harsh word, or a cold glare, and it sends Oswin spiralling into "what did I do wrong?"s and "maybe I'm not that good of a person"s. He tries hard to be in everyone's good graces, almost to the point where it seems like he bleeds a need to be accepted. However, not everybody enjoys his company (which is quite understandable), and though some of them are polite enough to not make this a pointed fact, Oswin picks up on emotional cues expertly.

All in all, Oswin is a bit of a well-dressed child at heart.
