Akie is far from a typical girl. Rather than shopping for the latest fashion trends, or dating boys, she'd be out on the field playing a tough game of soccer, or at home playing video games. In other words, she's a tomboy. While there's nothing wrong with being one, most people in her small town thought differently. They treated her as an outcast, and even her soccer teammates never really connected with her. As a result, she didn't have any true friends. She only found solace in the fantasy world of her favorite games, and often she wished she lived there instead. One quiet night, when getting ready to leave from soccer practice, she felt a warm aura all of the sudden. Right behind her was a red Magnus named Greedo along with Karura the Baby Phoenix. Forcefully, they abducted her, and together they flew to the Monastery deep within the Sacred Lands. For the first time in her life, Akie felt afraid, unsure of what the creature would do to her. She was treated like a prisoner, only allowed to stay in a bedroom, even during meals. There was no mistake about the warmth that Greedo felt around her, but he didn't feel any power in himself at all. Soon, he noticed Akie's fear and misery, and had a change of heart. She was granted free roam of the monastery, and shared meals with him. Still, this wasn't enough to completely console her. Although the dragon tried to be friendly with her, Akie couldn't stand the greed and selfishness in his heart. He even had the nerve to berate her for caring about other people. It wasn't long before Akie reached her wit's end. Fortunately, at the same time, Greedo no longer decided it was worth keeping her around. In anger, he explained to her why he bothered to endure all this trouble. According to the legend of hs clan, he would acquire incredible power if he managed to connect his heart with that of a young, courageous human. But, he thought he could never connect his heart with such an "insubordinate brat". Disgusted by such a selfish act, Akie fled from the monastery in rage. All she wanted to do was get away from that "horrible beast". But, perhaps that was not the brightest idea. Akie had never even traveled outside of Centropolis, let alone the Sacred Lands. She was utterly clueless on how to return to her home. For 3 days, she wandered aimlessly in the vast desert, facing brutal sandstorms and scorching heat. As she pressed on, she only seemed to get more lost. Feeling utterly hopeless, she collapsed face down into the white sand, spirit broken. She believed this was the end for her. Fortunately, Akie's end was far from near. She felt the same warm aura as the night she was kidnapped. Karura had materialized before her, which was initially met with indifference. The little Phoenix expressed sincere relief that she was still alive. Still, Akie ignored him. Karura tried his best to convey to her just how worried Greedo was, noting that the dragon couldn't even sleep. Akie was in sheer disbelief. How could such a self-centered creature worry about her? With enough persuasion, she finally believed the fiery spirit. His offer to take her home was met with immediate rejection. Instead, she wanted to return to the monastery. As soon as she opened the doors, she was met with a happy and relieved Greedo. He was swift to apologize, and displayed profound remorse for his selfishness. Akie was just as quick to forgive him, because in his eyes, she saw a changed dragon. After some thought, she decided to stay with him, to help him obtain the legendary power of his clan. Truthfully, she thought it was her destiny to do so. As time passed, their friendship grew, however, Greedo felt no increase in strength. Apparently, just being friends isn't enough to light the inner flame of the Blaze Magnus. Together, they explore the vast land of Subeta, seeking any sort of clue to solving this mystery |
