Hullo, people! I'm Lyddie (Lydia) and as of now nineteen years old.
Anyway, you know who else is also a Lydia? Lydia from Beetlejuice and Lydia from Pride and Prejudice and Lydia the Tattoo Lady.
I'll have you know Pride and Prejudice is one of the bigger obsessions in my life. I have over 25 (under 30 I think) adaptions of the story I've lovingly collected. I also own the 2005 and 1995 film/tv versions.
Moving on, I'm a fresher in uni and I'm aiming to be an RN. I enjoy free-writing like nothing else though. I enjoy reading (cliché), writing (cliché), and long walks on the beach (joke and also cliché).
I hope to take a semester (perhaps a year) abroad somewhere in the UK. I love travel and I've been to China, Korea, and El Salvador. I used to take Chinese in high school but I was always a dimwit at it. I can sing you Happy Birthday in Chinese though, if you want. Pretty much the extent of my abilities. Ha.
I also love Sherlock and Merlin to absolute bits. Martin Freeman is made of jam, kittens, and rage. After watching these shows I'm completely and utterly in love with shipping the main characters together (in their respective shows of course. I'm not big on cross-overs, though not completely opposed).
I've read the Harry Potter books at least twice each; the Goblet of Fire at least four because at one point it was the only one in my possession. As you can see, I don't shy away from rereading. I've tried writing fanfic but I haven't gone past a chapter for each attempt. It's a work in progress.
I enjoy Detective Conan as well as other such things, but I'm really picky (like SUPER picky) about the artwork.
I have a tumblr (only recently, I tell you!)! It's not the prettiest... It's also a working progress, ha.
