Welcome to my profile...more will be added laterMy little storyThe Blind Kitten Sarah, a house cat, sat in a window seat. The sun was shinning on her pelt. Sarah purred, "It's a good day." Her house folk, Linda, was watching T.V. Boots and Sassy, two of Sarah's kittens, were playing with some yarn. Linda got up and she got some cat mix down. Linda said, "Sarah, time to eat." Sarah smelled the food, she leaped down from the window seat, and she padded over to the food. Linda patted Sarah's head and she said, "You're a good cat." Sarah just purred with delight as she ate. Linda went to her room to read. Sarah looked at her kittens and she wondered why Burger was not playing with Sassy and Boots. Sarah padded to her bed and she meowed to her kittens, "Time to eat." Sassy left the yarn and she ran as fast as her little leg would go squeaking, "Me first! Me first!" Boots ran behind Sassy. Burger ran a kitten's tail length behind Boots. Sassy got to Sarah first and she started to suckle. Boots lay beside Sassy and he started to suckle, too. Burger ran in to Sassy and Sassy cried, "Mama, Burger ran in to me." Sarah meowed, "Its ok." Burger squeaked, “Mama, are my eyes open?†Sarah looked at her kitten puzzle and she meowed, “Yes and why?†Burger sadly meowed, “Then why can I not see?†Sarah looked away from her kitten and she meowed, “I think you’re blind.†Burger cried, “I want to see.†Sarah rapped her tail around Burger as she licked his head. Sassy squeaked, “I’m right here†and she looked at Boots. Boots flicked his tail at Sassy. Sassy whispered, “What?†Boots whispered back, “Let’s find Burger a toy he can play with.†Sassy nodded. She squeaked, “What kind of toy?†Boots whispered, “One that has a smell or noise.†Boots and Sassy meowed to Burger, “We will be back†and they padded off. Boots found a mouse and he moved it back and forth. It made no noise. Boots sniffed it. It had no smell. Sassy found a catnip bag toy. She moved it back and forth. It made no noise. Sassy sniffed it. It smelled like catnip. Sassy toke the toy to Boots and she meowed, “Smell this.†Boots sniffed it and he meowed, “It’s perfect.†They brought it to Burger and Sassy meowed, “Do you smell this?†Burger sniffed it and he meowed, “Yes.†Boots meowed, “Me and Sassy will always play with this.†Burger nodded. Sassy asked, “Do you two want to play or not?†Boots and Burger squeaked, “Yes†and they played to getter. Burger, Sassy, and Boots always played with catnip bag toys. So now, Burger could with his brother and sister. He never again felt left out. |
