The Delphi Museum of Modern Art

Tiffanie's Hope

By: Vaulty

Medium: Spraypaint on concrete

The mysterious graffiti artist, Vaulty, has made many pieces that would usually never find their way into a gallery, but when this building containing his artwork was being demolished, the Delphi Art Museum was able to save this piece and bring it inside. Many would say that graffiti isn't meant to be inside an art gallery, it should only be art that exists outside of galleries. We do for the most part agree, but between the choice of a small display of wonderful pieces of art and losing the art altogether, we chose the former.

Tiffanie's Hope seems to show the artist's love for balloons, and maybe a distant wonder as to where young shopkeeper Tiffanie went when the shop shut down. Did she pursue other dreams? Did she release her shop wares hoping they'd find homes? Did she simply let go of her childhood desires?
