Well, at least I'll save CSC because I'm not Americain and buying the trunks for one or two non-american items isn't worth it. Althought the woman can look like Marianne (national emblem of France) without the eagle and the banners. Also the Liberating mostly white banner can make a french flag. So maybe I'll buy these itemps in user shops.

But in this case, a Phrygian cap would be awesome. That and a baguette wearable.

I feels sad. I was saving for a couple of the trunks that randomly got retired. A heads up might be nice, so if we want something we can buy it before it's gone forever. Did I MISS something??

These look just kind of... randomly thrown together. I appreciate the effort but meh. It's not my thing, I guess.

I guess I'm glad about this revamp, since I have a Shimmering Coin already, and it means more items for me, but I'm having trouble understanding why the female set has been changed so drastically, especially since the male set is fairly faithful to the original. I mean, the torch has been replaced with a sword, the hair has been made curlier and changed from blonde to brunette, the dress shape is completely different (the original looked tiered, and was tied with a knot on the shoulder, while the new one looks like just a top and a skirt, despite being three pieces), and the crown has been switched for some kind of pajama cap or something. The original looked like the Statue of Liberty, and the new one looks like... Well I don't know what she's supposed to look like. I can see you were going for something American, but she's not recognizable as the Statue of Liberty or anything else, and honestly the whole outfit just kind of looks thrown together. You could say that you changed it as part of your attempt to move away from the real world, but that doesn't explain why the male set is still clearly Uncle Sam, and the whole set is still very obviously American (and even revamped on Independence Day, just to drive the point further).
Now, I'm not complaining about the quality of the artwork, or the fact that there's an American costume trunk (the Shimmering Coin was already an item on the site, and this is just a revamp), but revamps are supposed to just be updated versions of old artwork, and the female set really doesn't look like the original at all. If you were worried that having a costume trunk of the Statue of Liberty would offend people because it's too American, I don't understand why you would revamp the Shimmering Coin to begin with.

BUT... BUT... CANADA DAY GETS NO LOVE? ;A;

Ah well, at least I have no desire to buy this trunk.

Really guys? Complaining about this being revamped? The item already existed. There are items, even trunks, that are dedicated to other cultures already. In my opinion, many of the items can still be used in non-American ways. Not the flags, of course, but that's only a few items x_x

the artist of course did a excellent job.While I love the redraw for both.Still clinging to the old version for the women even though to be honest there is more use with the redraw.The mens I do think has better lines and is more in tune with the art work for the site now

I should expect something for the recently passed Canada Day and other countries, otherwise the United States has no place on Subeta imo

Looks good. Is the lineart around the actual coin meant to look a bit wonky/not round? I realise some coins aren't completely round, so wasn't sure if it was because of that or if because the artist just made a mistake.

I actually had this coin as a treasure chest item for my one pet and picked it up when they where dirt cheap ages ago. I had no idea it was 'costume trunk' item. Wow, you learn things everyday. I think I'll keep it in his TC though.
