Glade Fester
Wow, this fester was so well camouflaged I nearly missed it in Peka Glade on my walk earlier today. What a stunning effect the glade waters had on it!

I'm late to the party but I agree with Creep, it's a bit cartoony compared to Subeta's other pets, even some of the other festers, and it's putting me off of the design.
Let me start by saying the way it's drawn laying in the grass, all fluffy and happy-looking, is just wonderful.
However the face/head does not match avian anatomy at all. The beak hardly looks attached to me. Since the bird has his head tilted down you should see much more of the top of his beak instead of the side.

I found this photograph of a vulture with its head in much the same position as this one. See how you can almost see both nares?
Also, birds' eyes are on the sides of their heads. The way this is drawn looks as if the eyes are centered.
But other than that area the art's great. The feathers are illustrated beautifully. (:

This is pretty! But are any of the post-revamp festers going to have anything but a profile view for the face? :/ I'd like to see both of his eyes for once... eh, whatever, maybe it's just me.

Although I like the feathering on the wings, the Fester in whole seems to be very.. cartoon-ish. I know that's weird, since this is a site with drawn pictures in a cartoon-y style, but the Fester is overly so. The face looks round and pudgy, compared to the sharp quality that I have come to expect from the style of the artist that does the Fester.
It might just be the head that I'm having an issue with, but I just.. can't bring myself to like it. The face is bothering me so much. >: It might be the shading, but it might be simply round. I don't know. Ugh. /unhelpful.

This is so pretty! I love how the Fester still has it's signature more fierce/intense look in it's eye, even with the brightness of the green and the flowers (: awesome work!
