Second. you're right there is no "excuse" for my hatred of spiders. just straight up facts to why i dislike them. Mostly IN MY HOUSE. i LOVE garden spiders. but this pet thing looks like those evil giant jumping wolf spiders in my BF's basement. the ones you seem to magically know for SURE didn't "chase" me around the room and off the bed on multiple occasions.
I'm 21 fucking years old, fairly certain i know when some bastard with 8 fucking legs the size of a half dollar coin is CHASING me around a basement big enough for at least 10 SUV's to fit in and taunting me while i frantically climb a pole to get away and it just stay at the bottom until my boyfriend found me and killed it a half hour later. fuck you and "LOVE MY SPIDERS THEY'RE AWESOME AND ANY ONE WHO THINKS THEY'RE NOT IS WRONG" attitude. Really. please GTFO and leave us ALONE. We feel the way we do for a reason.

It reminds me of this tarantula that chased me and my family one time when we went to see fireworks in the desert in California. I am still traumatized by that.

Going by comments, would now not be a good time to say that spiders freak me out even though the UK is severely lacking in any deadly ones? I just hate the things /shiver

@Bogleech - Calm the freak down man. I found it really childish that you were so upset about my fear that you had to smail me. Your saying these things will not change my opinion on them. I dislike them in my home, get over it.
There are spiders where I live that are deadly to humans and I have had one very close by. Phobias are normal, everybody has them for some reason or another. Your freaking out like this is quite rude. I dont go around to every person who hates my pet rats and say OMG WHY WHATS WRONG WITH YOU. So really...just dont be rude about it.

Spiders are scary to alot of people because they are so alien, I think. Just making a comparison; I find literally all living things beautiful, cool and adorable (I'm a huge fan of parasites, deep sea fish and arthropods, especially) but there's an "inelegance" to mammals, for me. They're goofier and messier, while reptiles and invertebrates have a cleaner, fancier air about them, more orderly and dignified :D
It's bizarre how people find the faces of spiders horrifying when they're so close to the faces of popularly "cute" mammals, with their dark wide eyes and puffy fuzzy mouthparts.
Scientists actually find that Arachnophobia is only common in a few countries, and dates back only centuries. It's completely unnatural!

Hey now, i DO adore spiders. I even encourage them to live in my house...i keep track of where many of them live and check on them every day and actually get worried when they are gone. And they are protected here - i make it very clear to guests that they are not allowed to harm them. BUT, there are some "sweaty, hairy, drooling, filthy mammals" i'm pretty crazy about too. :P

What is seriously wrong with people that everyone thinks spiders are so terrifying, ugly and gross? They're tiny, they're beneficial, virtually all of them are harmless and even the allegedly dangerous ones are exaggerated (you're actually almost guaranteed to survive a black widow bite. Sometimes there isn't even pain, and the last thing they want is to even bite you at all)
....Spiders are adorably precious, beautiful, wonderful, awesome animals that deserve nothing but respect and adoration. They certainly deserve it more than the sweaty, hairy, drooling, filthy mammals everyone heaps praise upon.

SERIOUSLY OMG. You have NO. IDEA. how long I have been waiting for a major pet site to come out with a proper spider pet. ;_; AND IT'S GOT SOME CROCODILE THROWN IN TOO OMG. Forget you guys, spiders are ADORABLE. Just look at jumping spiders, they've got big ol' round puppy dog eyes and everythiiinng.

I'm probably the biggest arachnophobe in the world, but I think this is adorable! Even though it only has 6 legs it is arachnid-like, but I want one!!!
The art is really impeccable, and I love this pet so much I'd probably be zapping for it already, except for one thing: the face buttocks. I know they're a spider thing, but to me, they look like buttocks, or maybe golden testicles. But yeah, my first reaction was to be thrilled, but as soon as my eyes reached the face all I could think was

I've always thought Subeta should have a spider-like pet but this fits in perfectly! Love how it's mixed with a crocodile like reptile as well. Very unique! :D
I would say it's cute, but every time I look at it, I look at those big ass fangs and literally shudder.

The art is AMAZING but the creature itself is kind of scary omg ): I think it's the eyes/mouth and all of those little legs... but I'm sure a lot of users will make interesting characters out of this pet!
I shuddered when I saw this so, but then again I'm afraid of spiders and that brought it to the fore.
