To me, there are just so many other items like this and it's gotten old. Not only that, but with CW's completely taking over the site, I would have really liked to see something the rest of Subeta needs.
On a lighter note though, I could see myself using about 3 items from the female trunk. Though they're certainly not something I'd scramble to get. Sigh.

Well for me, the body paint alone is worth the 500 csc^^ And still cheaper than 1 single cw : )
Totally agreeing with the people who have pointed out that CW artists jump through hoops to make their items different from the original references and Subeta artists seem to have no such restrictions. I won't waste cash on this trunk.
Not a fan of the art. It does seem like quite a step back from most of the beautiful things that were being released recently.

I'm not seeing what's wrong with the art (except the eyes, which I think might be intentional?) and I am SUPER picky. It does look blurry on the trunk preview page, but that always happens for me - the items themselves aren't blurry.

Pretty sure I'm not whining. I'm stating the obvious. The changes (and I honestly see like one change on each set) are minimal.
I don't make CWs, and I'm not gonna buy the trunk, and I really don't care about the legal issues.
But this isn't the first subeta released set that I thought was too close to the "original" idea, and I have seen people go though A LOT of trouble to make CWs look different than the original.

People whining about CW changes vs. official changes is just silly. Looking at this it's obvious that there are at least four changes to it. Even if it's a bit more minimal of a change, such as color hue, it's still a change.
Not to mention that, yes, Subeta has lawyers and the means of arguing that the official staff made the necessary changes that are required by law. And if need be they are able to make changes quicker. And I believe Keith has stated that he has contracts with certain companies ? Or something similar, cannot recall completely right now.
Are all reference items going to be met with such crap now ?
The only thing that I find silly is that the Calavera set mixes in the Corpse Bride items (the skeleton arm, the bride outfit, etc). But really that's not going to stop me from loving these sets.

(I didn't realize how similar they were at first since I've only seen the movie once. Hopefully they know what they are doing. >_>)

I think the color scheme and everything is more unified than the Calavera trunk...dunno if I'd buy the whole set.

Trunks are most tributes than anything else onsite. There had been a couple truly original trunks, but a whole lot of them were inspired by TV and movies. It's nothing new and trunks aren't really where the unique is at.
Gah! I wish there was an "edit" feature to the comments! The male set should've had a "grey" colored skin as the human characters in The Corpse Bride were greys and blacks in shades :P See? Just like this here
The Nightmare Before Christmas trunk didn't have a female skeleton character, which was the only downside to that trunk.
The only thing I don't like about the Female trunk for this new trunk is that there's no background for the female outfit...:S

Well, the theme is similar to the Calavera trunk, but the individual items are fairly different... at least the female items.

jk but uh, this trunk's quality reminds me of the beauty & the beast one.
It also seems quite lackluster of Subeta so many wedding-themed trunks :c

It took me a while to realize that Emily's arm was supposed to be a skeleton arm. It's a bit...big, no? Would've thought it'd be a lot thinner and more, ah, bare?

Apart from the man's spooky eyes, I love every piece of this. They all look like really nice items; I'm not sure which set I'd get first! Nice job :)
Love both the male and female and bought them both right away! I especially love scraps! Am I the only one without complaints? I think they look great! :)
Wow, there's so much criticism but i really like a lot of the pieces out of this...i'll definitely be buying the male set for the hair, background, dog and eyes, at least! The groom's hair is pretty close to something i've been wanting. Not quite...but about as close as any item here has gotten. :P
The concept is awesome, especially since I am a big time Burton fan and love the movie that inspired this trunk. The execution is not so awesome. I agree with the comments from quite a few others here that it seems chunky. While I would jump at it normally, I think I'll wait to get some of the pieces from other users later on.
Hmm.. Corpse Bride? I love this movie, but the line art is chunky and flat. :( I will probably be getting the Scraps item and maybe possibly the background, but overall the art is definitely lacking.

These look to be a little blurry, though maybe it's just my screen?
Besides that, the layering looks a little iffy (on the male set, at least) and midsection of the clothing (his top/the top of her dress) seems a little bulky. I like his eyes and her hair, though.

Eh, it's cute. Some of the items might be great for tcs. It just reminds me too much of the Calavera trunk too much.
I feel like there are a few good pieces in this set, but overall most of the items seem to be too chunky or thickly outlined.
For people being dissapointed that the girl has no backdrop, the female trunk already has 19 individual pieces, while the male has 13.

I bought both, not because of the Corpse Bride--sorry Keith, I have to agree with a lot of folk here, I think these trunks fall flat.
But Emily's will do wonders for a snow queen HA especially, as will the bg.... I have to say, Emily's body parts look .... odd. From the cut to the cheek to the ribs, and especially the arms and legs, it looks proportionately too thick, small, or wrong. I'll sell them if I can't do a skelington...erm skeleton HA.

I'm not going to buy this JUST BECAUSE it's a Tim Burton knock-off trunk... Very few items are nice, but I'll be buying them from user shops

I am a bit disappointed with the trunk as it could have been done better especially with the reference being corpse bride but overall I really like it and need one of each trunk because hello corpse bride duh lol.
Disappointing that the female set has no backdrop, what's up with that? I like the male backdrop and the female hair so looks like I'll have to get 1 of each set and sell the rest of the items. Too bad it didn't come out before Morostide.

As much as I ADORE the Corpse Bride, it's one of my favorite movies, I don't know if I'll be getting this trunk anytime soon - the reference is great, though... as far as the quality of the art seems a little bit lacking, like it's really... flat or something.

Ok, now that I look at it closer, the arm's not but the leg still looks blurry around the ankle/foot area. The FF wisps threw me off for the arm.

But anyway, I love that corpse bride became a trunk. A bit underwhelmed by the art, its a little too cartoony for my liking D: But its still fun.
