When Pete heard that the gelatin war was cancelled, he offered to be the first opponent to step up and take their place! Isn't that Pete a nice guy? You don't want to beat up such a nice guy, do you? You monster.

Note: We're releasing opponents in random difficulty order this week, so there will be both easier and harder opponents than Pete here coming along!

@Ying, luckily, we had a few different artists working on "everyday" opponents for us to release whenever. We're just going to release them closer together than we'd originally planned! :)
And the older opponents are easy enough... they just need some tweaking and new loot in some cases. The artists are great and can do loot pretty quickly!

Is the threatening skillet drop at 5 wins supposed to be a weapon or don't these challengers have the special 5 wins weapon drop? Can't wait to see the other challengers :D
I like how everyone thought of portal.
I personally thought of the TF2/L4D(2) crossover with the frying pan weapon. It makes me happy that I can finally do that cosplay now.

Pete is a nice guy. He heard how upset battlers were over not being able to fight the gelatins and volunteered to serve as a battle challenger just to make us happy.
I'd much rather beat up Quentin, Drunk Carl, or Alexander just because Pete's quests aren't all that bad.

Pete unnerves me even when he's not threatening me with knives.
My sad little battle pet did me proud, though, and just by the tiniest of tiny margins scraped a fifth win, which was unexpected.

drat, Riblayn is the only pet im training for fighting and he is only just getting his stats to 300....
So far, this is a great alternative to the gelatins! I'm looking forward to the other opponents to be released; Pete was pretty easy for Spurn, but he's a challenge for my other pets.
Why have I always imagined Pete to wear boxers? I like his design, but it seems really odd seeing him in pants. o_o
