Yeah, that's the point. Boppers are supposed to be super easy to beat. The maliss is just some kind of aberration. ;)

There will be no other boppers. Really, boppers are just supposed to take some hits and pop back up, maybe sway back and forth a little. I think that one maliss bopper is just defective.

Ah darn, did a few fights and discovered that someone somewhere my pets have already fought these more than 5 times. Except for the Maliss bopper which my pets aren't strong enough to defeat because of the no healing. Darn.

Thanks. Yes I did get annoyed with Drills since I had to give up most of the quests because he asked for the impossible, such as having my pet eat/play with something (they're all in the resort) or play a carnival game (which has a 6 hour wait time). Will have to try these, thanks!

I'm going to be a bit disappointed if there will be no medium/hard opponents at all (I definitely agreed about that Major bopper!), but the new prizes look nice.
