Spectrum and Blacklight Serpenth!
The time is just flying by in the run up to Peka-Boo, and people everywhere are getting dressed for the occasion! The spectrum serpenth has joined in and jazzed up its scales and feathers to be a part of the festival action, and brought along the new blacklight serpenth to party with it!
As always, the Spectrum Potion can be found (if you're lucky) in the Magic Box, and the Blacklight Potion can be found in the Cash Shop!

really nice revamps! i love how the wings were done, someone obviously cares about making them look correct (which is fantastic)
my only criticism is that snakes' tongues don't come out of the glottis. they come out a little lower; the glottis is actually a respiratory organ, and the tongue comes out of a sheath.

This revamp is great, I'm loving how the serpenths are turning up now and becoming a nice pet species! :D
I know that usually blacklight pets are black with lighter features but the wings could work better if it's the same colour as the spectrum's or even a bit darker than that. However I'm not overly fussed over blacklight as the spectrum's my favourite!

Wings look to be the wrong colors. Why does the black one have white wings? Besides that these look amazing! So so happy with these.

Did they mix them up and put the wrong wings on? Looks like they need to be switched to match better.

It's lovely and all, but the base of the wings could be more cohesive. The scales and feathers could have blended into one another (more specifically, the feathers should have extended into the scales). Similar to the Harpy Wing and Lighter Harpy Crest Feathers. Right now they look like they were simply pasted on.

I was really excited for this redo, and it sure is a world better than the original, but I'm actually not so much a fan of it as I was hoping. The goofy tongue is throwing me off, and the coloration of the mane and wings does seem to be kinda off as well. I like that the poses that have been coming out have been so dynamic, but I'm not sure this one fits the species very well. I guess I'll have to save my dreams of a super-regal looking rainbow Serpenth for an overlay, haha.

Congrats on making the spectrum serpenth look a million times better. But for real though, the revamps and new colors being released for the serpenth has truly made it become a beautiful species :)

You know what, I have only been playing Subeta for a short time and I LOVE that the updates happen throughout the day and often instead of just once or twice I week. I also love that it is something WORTH updating. There is so much great content and very little pointless things, it makes me squee.

Taters I think you hit the nail on the head why it looks wrong. It is because the mane and wings don't match. I think it would look better if they did. But then I think the wings on the spectrum should change to the mane color and the mane on the blacklight should change to the wings color xD

I do think the wings should be switched though. It seems like the spectrum has the grey of the blacklights mane on its wing. I know they didnt match before, but it would be even more perfect if the mane matched the wings for its colour :)

Ahhhhhh those wings are so sexy. Im so glad he is getting love. The poor guy looked like a dinosaur head on a slug body before. I <3 my serpenth.

Guys if you notice the old spectrum one, the wings are not even close to the same color as the body. They are just doing the opposite now with the blacklight. The hippotu, irion, and montre are the same....and then there are pets that have light tufts of fur to set it off from the rest of the body. This is not a new thing!

These are really pretty, but serpenth wings always confuse me. This time it looks like this one's about to land wing-first on the ground, like when you throw your hands out to keep from face-planting when you trip?
I think I'll just have to believe that serpenths are some kind of zapper experiment gone wrong, and haven't been able to figure out how to use their new wings properly. :P

I was thinking "oh maybe the wing colors are like those optical illusions where they're actually the same color but look different" but nope the blacklight wings are totally lighter.

I really love the Spectrum one. The pose, colors, and wings are all fantastic. The white wings of the Blacklight one are really jarring though. Is there a reason for them to be white? If they had to be a different color I would think dark gray would match a little better.
