Quest Shops: Winter Items
Winter is officially here! The Quest Shops have decided to celebrate this season with lovely winter-themed items that will stick around until the first of spring.
The Millionaire Center will be rotating in their winter items this afternoon, so grab one last fall item while you can!

I would love to buy everything in the new years shop, but I just don't have enough tokens for the overpriced older items *sigh*

Is it just me or is the higher prices a little steep? Especially for a sticker.....not a fan of the high points needed. :(

I have never needed a snowman more than I need that possessed snowbuddy. =3
At least once the snowball fight is through, I'll have more time for questing. xD

Nice items!
Though don't love them enough to swallow the higher than usual price (which is fair for what they are, tbh).
Will save up what few QP I have for the next limited items.

I'm okay with the prices! I DO have a GA but I usually only do 4 different quest people a day. Besides, questing has gotten SO MUCH quicker with the buy buttons and stuff oh my goodness that was the best thing to come off a hiatus to. I've got a couple hundred QPs and I'm going to have to choose but that's just like real life. And besides, if it was easy to get everything it wouldn't be as fun a game!

You can't really do quests 24/7 and if you choose do constantly spend your questpoints to sell items that's your choice.
Making others feel bad for having questpoints is not okay, not everything is always going to work out in your favor.

I think when the Subeta Team came up with the Quest Shops they really hit a home run! Quests generate sp and sp is what keeps this site active!! There is no rule that you have to get one of each and so choices have to be made! The Subeta Team doesn't expect everyone to spend all their time doing quests but have made it fun to do so if you want to. I do think that many of us act like spoiled children and want it all for free and honestly Subeta does a great job of giving free stuff too so come on fellow Subetanites just have fun and get what you can and move on!

oh I SEE now. 60 Quest points. I thought we were talking about Millionaire Shop winter items. Sorry, should read more carefully.

Yay way to punish everyone because some people hoard points :'D
Why not make a few more tiers for point hoarding, I bet that'll help! Or maybe idk, make some achievements for spending them and maybe people wouldn't have 04938509434535.
I wanted a few of these, but ain't nobody got time for 50 point items so looks like i'll just maybe get the book by the time they retire, because some of us have jobs and can't do 409385 quests a day n___n

I don't know about anyone else, but I feel perfectly fine whining about "have to pick what is most important to them to go after first". I don't like these prices and I don't like having to choose what to get and what to wait on. I am impatient, want everything and want it now. lol

I love the items and think the price is perfectly fine. I'm still a newish player and have over 600 QP sitting around. They really aren't that hard to make :)

I really don't understand why the bookworm buddy doesn't have the option to add as a minion? :disappointed:

The Possessed Snowbuddy pretty much completes my life. Dark Matter AND snowmen? Yes please.

I love that sweater *o* I finally have a good reason to start grinding through quests every day again! ♥

Since I don't do quest (because it doesn't give an actual profit anymore), I was trying to save to the next year birthday items (250 QP), but not... more than 700

Laughing at myself because I came here to whine a little about the prices ( great minds think alike). But I read the staff posts and I think it will be worth it to save up for!

Not everyone is going to want every single one of the winter themed items, though. And like I said before, we are slowly raising the prices of our genera-not-retiring items. The recent books from Library have been up a few more points. Future items will start being in the 10-15 range. We've constantly stated we want users to have to pick what is most important to them to go after first (for example someone with a beanbag collection: grab beanbags first, then maybe wearables or if they have a plushie collection they are casually doing or battle pet they are training they should grab the books first).
These items will be back next winter, it isn't like they are a "this 3 months only" deal. :)

To get every single new item released for the Winter Stock it comes to 490 QPs. There are 89 days to complete a total of 90 Quests (Non-GA) daily. Remember, that means every single quest, no abandoning those pesky Alexander 100k books! You need to acquire 6 QPs daily to get one of each of the new items. That doesn't sound too bad right? In truth, that is from a perfect, perfect Subetan world! That doesn't include the days lost to downtime or the not so rare occurrence of quest declines.
As I said prior, I don't mind more expensive items, but this is a 500-600% increase on a stock that will be around for a whopping 3.5 months. Doesn't it seem more plausible and realistic to have normal, everyday stock be more expensive, while the special special stuff be a tad more reasonable?

Okay, well go add up all the items, multiply that by two, and then tell me how long it takes to make all those points. :)
It doesn't take long to do quests now so there's no excuse whatsoever for complaining about how much these are.

Thank you for purchasing from the Quest Shop. Come back again!
Possessed Snowbuddy
I had to do this, he looks pissed. :D LOL
As for items costing more quest points, I'm all for it. It doesn't take long to do quests now so there's no excuse whatsoever for complaining about how much these are.

For what it's worth, I LIKE the higher-priced items that have been getting released recently. I always have upper-hundreds-lower-thousands amounts of QPs that just sit around waiting for new additions to the Quest Shop because I already have everything else I even vaguely wanted. It's silly to collect a form of currency when you have nothing to spend it on.
Even people starting from scratch have MONTHS to save up for these. Get your quest on, doods.

When people ask for higher price-point items, I think they mean non-retiring stock. So not special items like these... Personally I'm happy with lower priced items since I have to buy two of almost everything.

@Buttercream I've also run median and range, a lot of users have a lot of quest points hanging out. It's possible people are saving them to buy up a bunch of books but I can't see intentions when I look at data, just numbers.
You can easily earn quest points doing all of the quests daily. Again, these are not meant to take a day or two to achieve.

I don't mind the expensive Quest Shop items.. if these exp items didn't come around I would probably never get around to spending all my quest points. :x

The biggest flaw with always using averages to make decisions is that they aren't realistic. They don't give you the most common amount people truly have. Individuals like Speiro who hoard, throws the whole system off, but for some reason, averages are STILL used as if they honestly represent the player base. Its such a cop out when used in this manner.

Good news: I have enough QP's to buy at least one of every new item.
Bad news: I don't have too many QP's left after buying them.
It's a great problem to have :D
It's hard to pick a favorite but I think the Reindeer Saggitarius Plushie wins.

Geez this stuff really is expensive... and I haven't been seeing that many quest points either. Yikes.

I have 2,154. :xThe average amount of quest points that people have on their account (not including people with 0) is 94.
Most of that's going to go towards books and a few other things I need (but have been putting off), so in my mind those points have already been spent. I wonder if this is the case for other point hoarders?

Keith
The average amount of quest points that people have on their account (not including people with 0) is 94. We don't want to release a batch of new items and have people just be able to buy them all up instantly, they should be a little bit of work.

I say "a little higher" because the anniversary items weren't all in the 50 range (the basket was). These winter items are more expensive than the anniversary items because they'll be around for the entire season rather than just a month like the anniversary items. :)

I don't mind a bit more expensive in QPs, but holy hell...you're talking a 500-600% increase for these items. That is just...unrealistic.
will always be a little higher

Amber
Special items, like these winter items or like with the anniversary items, will always be a little higher. Users have repeatedly asked for more expensive items. :) This is our way of releasing some higher marked ones while slowly increasing some of the generic releases that'll stick around (like the recent library books, some are 14ish).

Jeeze those quest point items are expensive all of a sudden. Is everyone Saggi now? High price in Sarah's shop literally went from 10 to 40.
