I don't use Amulet's I just sell them so that's not an issue for me, but I got 1. I did get some pretty great other prizes though too!

Meh. Stopped doing Q quests as soon as I got the achievement because I rarely made anything, was lucky to break even. Anyway guess I'll try a few and see if it's worthwhile.
