@Midnightlily On the current news page it's 50/50 split with custom overlays and no custom overlays, the very last pet to win was even a common pet (no potioned color) with no custom overlay. Don't get discouraged! One of the pets this last week also won with free profile coding only slightly edited. You don't have to have amazing skills to put something really nice together. It's just easier to see the customs stand out on the front page, I think.
