The idea that Mahar's can just stick stuff to their skin makes me shiver a little, especially knowing it can be anything they choose. ^^; I guess as long as they're smart enough to put things in a nice orderly pattern it won't be so... weird.
OMG, the article made me think of ferrets - and my ferret, who likes to hoard CVS prescription pill bottles (last I saw she had over 20 AGAIN)

I love them, they are my favorite dragon type pet here. I have like 7 of them but now knowing they really do like hoarding and collecting gems, I am glad I made my pet Dustwise like that almost a decade ago. I use to have a story on his page like this, wish I didn't take it down now.
I wish they had explained how exactly mahars stick things to themselves. I always assumed the gems were part of their bodies.

How do they stick the gems and things to their bodies, though? Sticky saliva? And would removing the stuck items be painful or traumatic? Because for some weird reason, before the article I was under the impression that they basically... stuck those things into their skin, instead of onto.
Also, kinda wondering what's the deal with the earring that all mahars seem to have? :o
