A new discovery!
Hello Vesnali celebrators - are you having a nice time? I’ve had a lovely year. Well, a lovely few years actually! But today I wanted to talk to you about one of my recent expeditions. You know how I love to keep an eye on the local nature! I’ve been noticing the Nature Walk over in Riverside has been a little quiet for a while, probably because the novelty has worn off a bit. People make a visit or two and then find other ways to fill their time. Which is great for some of the creatures there! They don’t like it being too busy or full of people.

The thing is, I think something has moved in there. A new something. At first, I thought it was a minion, but after spending some time documenting it I started to believe it had more properties of a Subeta pet! It’s taken me a while, but one of the little creatures ended up bonding with me, and when I offered it a chance to come home with me it scooted right up my arm to nuzzle at my cheek! A very strange sensation, I’ll tell you that much, and it put my dear Esther right off snuggling that night (she’s not the hugest fan of the uh…’slippery slimy’ type things)!

Anyway, I now have this creature, which I’ve been referring to as the 'scootle' because of how fast it moves, and I’m not sure if I’m some kind of anomaly! I think the best thing to do is invite those of you who might be interested in adopting one of the things over to the Nature Walk - see if you can spot one for yourself! It might take a few days to bond with them, as it did with me, but if they do I think I may have discovered a brand new pet! In the meantime, I’m going to work to see how my scootle responds to potions…I’ll have my results on…Friday, I believe!

So can anyone tell me why I saw the scuttle for the first two days and every day since even going through the nature hike I haven't seen one again? I really would like one too :c
@heavenlycats this would be the fourth day (once on the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th). If you've only done it three times you might get it tomorrow (you should be at the last page of Nature Walk) :)

Congratulations! You've adopted Mosey the scootle! Take good care of it!
I'm so excited!!!! :D and out of my free/questathon pet slots....time to start buying from the millionaire center

Yay! Now I have a Scootle too. Hardest part was picking a name! Now I am out of pet slots... :(
I am a lifelong gastropod lover and while this is a more traditionally cute and pretty design than my kind of thing, it just makes me really happy that people at large these past few years have shown so much more affection for slugs and snails. This is a nice hybrid of snail and nudibranch, and I really look forward to seeing it in different colors and styles.
Congratulations! You've adopted Ishmashell the scootle! Take good care of it!

Ahh I got one! Couldn't resist after following the little critter around all week. I was undecided until it actually bonded with me...but how could I just walk away after that? I enjoyed this method of pet acquisition and I can't wait to see the other colors.

Congratulations! You've adopted Nareru the scootle! Take good care of it!
Its name means "To become tame" or "to get used to" in Japanese, which I thought was perfect because of how Scootles are acquired!! I'm so happy to have it! Can't wait to see the recolors!

@Brioche
I was dumb, I didn’t even notice there were more zones to it :joy: been using my phone for subeta for ages now hardly ever a computer anymore... don’t have time >.< don’t think I’ve ever visited the trails either but I learned something new! the trails is amusing! I could have seen him yesterday if I had paid more attention and notice more pages.

So I clicked on the scootle three days in a row and then today he wasn't there but a different little bug thing was? How does this work anyways?

Nevermind, I did find him finally, he's trying to hide. Anxious to see tomorrow what all the colors for the snail will look like.
@Beast Nope, that's just part of the process. Even if you click on it twice in one day and it runs away, it will still continue to be curious about you. The process is similar to the minions that you have to bond with. Despite a double click yesterday, the last message I got when clicked on it showed progress.

Well >.> I seemed to have clicked on him twice the first day and haven’t seen him again since. Wonder if if there’s some cool down period before he’ll show up again. Don’t blame it tho... :joy:

Gastropod! Gastropod!
@Ying It looks to me like the tendrils some species of sea slugs have. Functionally, I know some of the real ones will eat jellyfish and absorb their stinging cells, so maybe this does something like that?

This is such a cute pet design, I love it! And "Scootle"... could that name be any more adorable? ♥️ It's nice to see the Nature Walk getting some use too, it'd be awesome to have more done with it - I like the item/creature find game suggestion.

I love the idea of the new pet. :D However, what exactly is that thing on the side of it's shell? Is it meant to be a fleshy bit that would retract if we touched it? idk..

idk. probably because it's only purpose is for battlers?
there's nothing to entice folk to use the Nature Trail. oh pretty pictures, bored now!

Glad to see the nature trail getting some use! I'd love to see more done with it though- perhaps a 'find the items' minigame or even just different creatures depending on the time of day? Very cute snail pet regardless!

Oh. Huh! That's.. kinda cute.
I'm still salty about the lack of cephalopod pets, but this is pretty darn acceptable. Snails are good.

Been holding a spare pet slot for an aqua blob but might have to wait and see what colors the snail comes in and other colors for the blob before deciding.
