Some of these items look good but most of them are pretty much the same style and/or we already have items like them on site... & I do not have enough CSC to buy up all the retiring sets that I want! This is no good lol.

So I just realized that the Vanity Nisus Sweater looks like it was designed before the whiteout items were made, unlike some of the other over-the-hand sweaters. Still looks comfy for sure.

I guess my mindset is more that the focus should be on getting things properly fixed instead of deploying temporary solutions, because those *do* take up time and effort on the part of people who could be putting work into the proper fixes. And in the case of the whiteout items it seems a bit useless, because if a proper fix via a changed wardrobe is going to be deployed eventually it'll make them pretty much useless unless the staff go the route of only being able to turn off/hide body parts a thing GA people can do (something I have no opinion on at the moment).
But yeah, I hear you. I've said my piece too, so I'll see you down in WPP later ^^

I guess I just feel like it's better than being stuck with nothing? They're opt-in items and I'm glad to have something to play with in the meantime. We are in agreement the wardrobe change is the ideal solution, but if it's gonna take a while I am gonna say yes to some workaround even if it's a bandaid fix. Nobody is actually at a loss with these options or being forced to use them, I just can't see that it's inconveniencing anyone, the very worst case scenario is that you have exactly as many wardrobe items to chose from as you had before they where released. Maybe just a bummer to have to wait if you really dislike them, but we're all waiting for the dang wardrobe update anyway. I think a few people who missed the whiteout item news announcement (and where answered pretty quick when they asked what was up) is worth getting to play around with items before the new feature is released.

I love how the Vanity lines follow real fashion trends. Most notable for me is that literally every store has some version of a pastel rainbow sweater right now

@Sigilmancy Well that's my point too. xD If I have to wait ages for the new wardrobe I would chose to have optional workarounds in the meantime. I guess I'm just seeing it like, why make everyone wait if the release of the items isn't going to speed things up? Getting creative with items isn't necessarily a bad thing, the art department isn't the ones handling the new wardrobe coding so the release of these items isn't delaying the wardrobe being updated, and there are thousands of other items that work for people who can't or won't get creative with backgrounds. I just don't see how it's hurting anyone to release this stuff. If anything I'd just ask the whiteout pens to be cheaper.

@Sigilmancy I’m not trying to be combative here but why should it have waited? I don’t see a downside. if the fix is a long ways away (I assume it is given all the current stuff in progress) I appreciate being given some options instead of absolutely nothing. What would the benefit of waiting on releasing this stuff? It’s all going to be perfectly useable when the wardrobe is updated and if we can have creative layering solutions now, why not? And the people who don’t like it don’t have to use it and can wait anyway, which isn’t really a downside since the alternative is all of us waiting.

Since I started playing I'm thinking about wearables that don't respect the HA's outlines and how it would can work, today I'm glad to that you artist team made this for us, I can't imagine what is reserved to us in the future, more and more beautiful items like these ones and almost unlimited layering possibles on wardrobe.

Not what i was trying to go for but it works kinda.
Very time consuming to work with but not impossible.
I think if we had more items that cover certain body parts then
it would make the items easier to use.

There's also above, and a couple of footwear items don't cover the feet. They also made some cardigans recently that don't cover the arms so you have to either use the whiteout pens or layer to use them. A good 90% of the comment section in this news item is complaining about this. :)

@EmCee you'd be surprised how many people don't understand the concept of layering at all and this is why they think they need the leg space filled in even though there are plenty of separate, cheap items that will already do that--hint hint, coat backs, plus the fabric scraps in the beach shack. (Because sometimes people want to wear loose pants or a skirt under things, hello?)
Meanwhile if I want the leg space filled in I just stick something behind my base that is the right shape to go with the rest of my clothes...

I completely understand wanting to play with new poses on non CW items, but it should have waited until the new wardrobe was released so we don't have to work on creative layering or buying semi-expensive whiteout items that don't work with full backgrounds. Short term solution? How short term is 'short term'? Because from what I have read the new wardrobe has been in the works for *years* and if it's going to take years more for it to be complete that's not really short term now is it?
That aside, the hat is really cool and I love how it's meant to go with wigs without clipping into them and I adore the Atebus logo stuff as a reference to the NASA logo. The Vivify shirt and skirt and the nostalgic plaid sweater are like 100% something I'm going to need to get too, at the very least.

I love that people don't seem to understand the concept of that hat. It's supposed to be something you can wear with all your wigs without clipping guys. You layer it behind everything. It's AMAZING.

Oh my gosh I need them all, I was secretly hoping for cute angled feet wearables to use with the new white out items. I like that whiting out bodyparts is a goal for the future, I can't wait to see what custom artist do. Are they going to be allowed to make items like this with the Millionaire center layering items taken into consideration by the review team?

The future plan of being able to turn off certain HA body parts in the new revised super duper hecka awesome wardrobe makes me SO happy. AND NOW because I know this I will actually buy those other body mods. Previous to this knowledge I had refused to buy something that I knew I would never wear because I hate the white outs items. I always wear a background and I usually only use cutouts for effect, not to remove most of the backgrounds.
My favorite item:
I need more items with that logo in my life - I will settle for that since I can't have NASA on here and I love my outer space exploration! (True trekkie here - Whoot whoot!)

@Hamda you're supposed to cover the feet with the whiteout or some other items that go over the feet, then put the shoes on top, to give a different leg position ;)

I hope it manifests before Masquerade. Whiteout won't be a good look on the dance floor. The coding may suppress backgrounds but if it suppresses whiteout, then we'll just have a whole lot of four-armed dancers wearing shoes that don't fit :)

For the record, you can make these new positions work without the white outs with some layering. If you don't wear backgrounds... You uh, don't need to... Because you don't have to worry about random white blotches.

Just redesign the HA interface to make certain body parts not visible by turning them on/off. That way we aren't wearing items that "white out" body parts and ruin backgrounds, and we keep the same HA base.
