Yeah, I wish the dairy alternatives weren't all rare items
so that we'd see them around more often in quests and stuff. But I think that's probably just due to the trend of making most new items rare/super rare so they don't deflate too fast. I can see not wanting all new items to become "junk" too quickly but I wish there was a better balance between junk and "jeez I'll NEVER get this item ugh!" haha

@Atomic, oh, I don't expect everything on here to be to my liking. It's just funny. One minute you're looking at an item that's supposed to be a cute kitty and boom! there's an adopt don't shop lecture. Next minute you're looking at "Feli Spaghetti". It is all pixels, after all. (That is the only disclaimer I put on fur/leather/silk-appearing CWs: "it's 100% real... pixels."
I actually eat vegan ice cream all the time. A lot of it tastes better, and none of it has nasty lactose or A1 protein. But I eat meat all the time, too. I think all of the actual food items that are really edible should be there. It's also kind of annoying that soymilk is harder to find and much more expensive than durians, because I would be really annoyed if Safeway was set up like that.

I think they're just trying to offer something for everyone, and that's a good thing, but it does mean that not everything on here will be to our liking. I'm not actually offended by edible minions or poopy food or anything else on here because they're pixels. I just don't particularly enjoy feeding them to my pet (especially when he says they're delicious and asks for more, the little weirdo lol), but I do it anyway, because gourmand/achievements, and it doesn't do any real harm. I do see the humor in a lot of the gross items like the zombie foods made of human meat though. Meanwhile, I appreciate the vegan items because those are the things I would eat in real life. :)

@Atomic this site is so weird. On one hand you have vegan NPCs and the occasional vegan staff member going on about veganism and "animal rights" and putting animal welfare disclaimers in all kinds of items where in my opinion they don't really belong (I do not actually like finding PSAs in item descriptions). On the other hand we're encouraged to feed minions to our pets and there are food items made out of pets who are intelligent enough to have jobs for SAI and the like (for example, fried fester, lasirus wing, etc), plus there are foods made out of people and we're also encouraged to feed our pets poison and biohazards like snot and poop.
I've embraced the reality that if you care about animal welfare and treatment too much to be comfortable with feeding your pets a poop sandwich, an arsenic bonbon or even a chocolate shake (chocolate being poison to most animals), and are not okay with eating animals of near-human or human-equal intelligence (like pets that have jobs, or IRL orangutans) but are never ever ever going to be vegan, think breeding and sale of animals is fine if done responsibly, support medical animal testing, and do not believe in "animal rights" ...your middle-of-the-road, normal perspective will never be validated by this site. :)

I can barely keep a cactus alive but I still love that greenhouse background! Especially since if I block just enough of it out with my HA that you can only see that bit that looks like red hills in the distance, I can pretend it's a greenhouse on Mars haha. :rocket:

So if this month is about edible minions, does that mean we're going to get more edible minions that I'll end up needing 2 of because I want one to feed to my pet and one to put in the zoo?

It's just weird to me that things that are always in my fridge are rare, and things that I only eat on special occasions are so common :)
I could see vegan black sesame ice cream being rare because black sesame ice cream isn't common whether it's vegan or not. But there's always a carton of Silk Very Vanilla in my fridge. Always.
