Squirrels are geniuses when it comes to acquiring food in devices that are deliberately designed to keep them away. The acrobats and daring escapades that I have witnessed....
Any real bird lover knows theres no such thing as a squirrel proof feeder

I love these bird feeders! I have one in RL! I hate squirrels. I did not hate them until we had them in our attic. They came in during hurricane IKE. The squirrels did all kind of damage.
When I was little, we had a bird feeder on a pole. To defeat the squirrels, we put vaseline on the pole -- resulting squirrels grabbing it, sliding down, trying a few times, then perching on the fence to glare at us while we were laughing at them.
Aww! When I lived in Europe we had a bird feeder for the tits that would come into our garden and hung it up under the crab apple tree. It regularly got gatecrashed by a lil red squirrel. ^_^ We made sure there was always more than enough for the birds.

Well, here our squirrels became quite the little pests(we have a walnut tree not far from our house) and uh well they were destroying our house. So yeah I don't like them at least not in(or on) my house

Aww I love that there's a melanistic squirrel since almost all the squirrels near me are melanistic. :heart:

So. Just putting that out there.
To those of you that love feeding the squirrels... whatever you love is whatever you love. But squirrels are very good at caching food when it is abundant. Birds can't do that nearly as easily and must compete for food with them, so we feed birds because they actually need to be fed, and squirrels stealing their food kind of defeats the purpose of that.
Also, they WILL tear up your gardens.
So. Just putting that out there.

For a moment I thought they were going to be birds to go with the bird baths. Oh well, maybe next time. Reminds me of how squirrels kept going at the bird feeder in my Gran's garden (I don't know if she still has it or not).
I'm actually rather proud of them for finally getting it.
