Frankly I had completely forgotten about Gallery Search and never used it after invention of the new shops. So I didn't even know, these were ordered by amount now, lol.
I've moved all my galleries (the "real" ones as well as the Warehouse) to vault already.
My new gallery Shop#3 was made for dumping anything below rare and weapons, which didn't fit into the shops. But I believe there are no longer tons of anything in there, so no item is likely to appear on top of gallery search, I guess... let me check...

Oh, so I found Earth/Wind&Water Amulets - most of those were moved from my legacy shop.

And they all do appear on Gallery Search in top position.

I don't recall, when I made Shop #3, though. Not right at the beginning, but not too recently, either.

I will again rearrange my shops and galleries now (already looking forward to moving those amulets to a shop in 200 pieces stacks...), but I doubt I'll have any big numbers in new galleries thereafter. I'll try to remember and let you know, though. Everything from my legacy shop will have to be dumped into the vault through the tool, which they claim should be error free. I do hope this promise applies to over a million of items...

@BoaConstrictor since moving your stuff out of the legacy shops, do your items show up in the gallery search?
hm.............I think it was you who was on top of a few gallery search lists.
I also just I guess anyone who is/was on top for an item.
Im asking cause ever since I cant remember when, my items in "newer" made galleries dont show up at all.
Example.
if i search this Magical Hat
Im on top of that. That gallery was made when the new shops came into play.

But if I search Red Short Sleeved Brocade Top
My name/gallery is no where to be found. The top person has 29 in their gallery. I have 769. Clearly I should be on top of that. This one was made this year I believe.

I had the same problem a while back as well. I would move crap from one place to "Stupid People" (the older gallery) but it would never get counted/update. @Bug did end up fixing it. But that was just for one or two items. I CBA to bother him about a 2 page gallery.

Maybe Ill move some new crap out of the newer one into Stupid People and see if it gets updated

In your drop down menu for shops, legacy shops will have an emblem of a triangle with and exclamation point in it.
Additionally, if you have a legacy shop you will notice you can no longer change the prices, add any items to it or even view the shop itself. The only action you can take is to remove items.

Can we PLEASE search user shops by itemID? I miss being able to do so even years after it was changed.

Subeta has honestly had its ups and downs but honestly? Legacy has been talked about being removed for AT LEAST 4 years I swapped mine over with 0 issues you can just create another gallery for "bragging rights" or use your vault I have mine set up with like 6 different subsets. If you have an issue with how much you spent on them eons ago send in a ticket? Or talk about it in the forums to ask for some sort of compensation? Subeta is trying to catch up since they have a very low user base since they want to update the site and yes the legacy shops HAVE to go, theyre trying to figure out what to do with the wardrobe now as well. Sure Im not here much anymore as I've found other pet sites to play on (hence the low user base), if you keep the legacy shops we will continue to have problems and I don't mean to burst anyones bubble but if you just complain once or twice here things won't happen. If you create a forum post and many others have the same issue as you, you may actually get a response for compensation. But as of right now this has been in the workings for 4 years.

@reaction --- aah, thank you, so are we talking about our shops that had an update a while ago and we brought all our things over to the new shops? I thought that was long over, because after the update back then it was said that we would no longer be able to use the old shops? if so, and I have not had my old ones for a long time, we will talk about which ones should be removed ??? well it doesn't matter, the main thing is that we meet here and get excited ;) ;)

the question has already been asked, so again: what are legacy shops and where can I find them? my translator only says that you say; there are items here that are so expensive that I can't get the sp together in 100 years (what do you need such expensive things for?) why can't the search menu show what and where the legacy shop is? is a search not there? there are only users and pets to be found. sorry if I ask such stupid questions

I think this issue is similar to the unlimited wardrobe items issue, in that many people don’t understand the amount of server space it takes to store and recall THAT MANY pieces of data. There are easily over 20,000 wearables, and I don’t even know HOW many other items. Both issues have caused unbearable lag over the years. People want the lag to stop, complaining about it at every turn; staff figures out something that will greatly reduce lag, and that’s still the wrong answer. /shrug
No one needs to hoard pixels like that.

@egg: I forgot that you felt entitled to tell me when to ping as well. Please come back and have the last word.

Hi guys. Can someone really patient explain to me ('cos I'm kinda doof-ish) what's the deal with the legacy shops page? Does it mean the old shops we had, that we needed to move the items out of long time ago? And if I did that already, I'm good and my shops ok?

Maybe I'm stupid, but I couldn't make sense out of this anouncement without reading the comments. And now it still hardly makes any sense. I have no idea how to know if you have a legacy shop or not and what you are supposed to do if you have one or why they are shutting down...

They rely on people not paying attention or being unaware. I'm embarrassed to say that I've kicked myself more than once coasting through quests, buying something from a shop, then immediately realizing it's in the Zombie Den too. It was even right there in the search.

I legitimately cannot understand why people are upset about the legacy shops being removed. We've known about it for a LONG time and they caused a lot of problems because they were MASSIVE. The new shops are perfectly fine and if you want to sell super expensive items you can make a trade and a selling thread. You could even have a forum group for people who are in the market for super rare items, or a pinglist on Google docs for people who are looking for specific super expensive items.

I just don't get the negative reactions to this because this has been talked about for literally years and the replacement shops work fine.

@egg: "Ain't nobody need" virtual pets, or custom clothing, or anything else on this site. You don't get to dictate to me what aspects of the site I have enjoyed, and wish to continue to enjoy.

I had two legacy shops. Pretty sure I got rid of them recently.

Will we ever be refunded the SP we spent to buy our legacy shops? I had the max allowed at the time, and they were expensive!

I guess you misunderstood. I don't want to sell any Antique Shop items etc. for millards.
I need to make that kind of money to buy said items from there! Not only does nobody sell a Wrath Of Kahaleitzli and the like at all, they definitely won't for any huge discount, lol

@BoaConstrictor There is nothing stopping you from putting a 3.5 billion SP price tag on an item in your shop.

People just won't pay it. I don't understand why you believe the shop type has anything whatsoever to do with this. People especially won't pay more than shop price on items that are always available and don't depend on restocking. I've never understood why people think they can make a profit on stuff from the Antique Shop, Fine Fabrics, 5-7-5, the Millionaire Centre, the Zombie Den or any other shop that never closes or retires items. I guess some people do pay more than shop price for those items, but I don't understand why anyone would.

Until 4 years ago, there was another kind of shop. No restriction of how many items you could put in. There even was a rank list, for having the biggest shops.
Then they invented the teensy weensy little shops we have now and we could no longer add items to our old shops or reprice, but they were still on shop search.

Problem is, that was a HUGE source of income - logically, because you could stock and profit from absolutely every item. Last year that broke completely - together with the site altogether.

I mean there are items on site, that cost 3.500.000.000 sP (Antique Shop), at least one of them is on my wishlist. How, with the tiny shops (and losing all our expensive priced ancient stuff) are we supposed to make that kind on money, when all the rares and super rares have dropped to 70k and much less in user shops (?!?!???), booster prices have trippled, though (?!!!) ?

Also the ordering in the new shops is not fail proof - I still find doubles in my shops, even though I try to quickstock in the correct order :-(

No, we had not. Initially there was no reason to clear Legacy Shops. They remained fully functional - sans stocking more or repricing. Why should we give up on all the work and esp. our income, when the new shops (still!!!) represent no valid alternative?!

When they announced the pending shut down, the site had already been a mess and almost unusable for ... a month? And continued to be like that for half a year, so no way to work on the shops. And since it has been running again, there has been a restriction to not move more than 200 items at once (in all areas of the site!), because items poofed everywhere, so substantial work on clearing/relocating was also prohibited.

I categorized my whole vault, did move the galleries with the tool, which are ruined now, because already existing items stacked and were lost from the gallery section. My shop used to be #1 in item count; I did clear as best as I could over months now (Like 30 minutes to turn in 1500 items of a kind to recycle beast...). Inbetween there again was a period of no access for a while.

I wanted to organize the shop into vault in (6 or 7) price categories - that would already be slow, because of one page after the other of the search result, but easily feasible within a week with a liittle dedication (and I have tried to start it already). Yeah. But then there is the 200 pcs/time restriction (which still doesn't guaranty survival of all items, so you have to double check every move/batch), thus more often than not I can't even move all of a single item at once, forget a whole page of items.

I am no longer complaining about abolishing Legacy Shops. The errors are the hindrance and source of complaint.

Conversely, they had years to figure out a way to preserve the work that many of us put into those galleries, and they chose to throw us under the bus instead.

So if I see one complaint ABOUT this complaint...

I think this is really confusing. How do I even know if I have a legacy shop or not?

This announcement was completely confusing because I thought the legacy shops had been closed a long time ago. I guess it's because I moved all my stuff, and dissembled mine back when it was first mentioned. And I had a great gallery collection (huge) of unique items that I never wanted to get rid of, but I understood why it had to happen. I appreciate everyone who posted links and info about this, because I couldn't remember when it all happened.

Two of my shops are ancient but none of them show as legacy shops...

Glad I finished moving items from my legacy shop to where I wanted to sort them and deleted the shop

@Ivydactyl Make a category in vaults if you want all the items from the shop in one place then go here to automatically move it all to that category/your vault.

Just to clarify! My shops used to be listed with the triangle icon. They aren't listed any more on the migrate page (Thank you for the links to the guides)

I just came back recently and the legacy shop thing happened while I was gone. I am absolutely lost on finding this page though. I would really love to get my items back but genuinely have no clue how to.

And yes, for the record, the new shop system was implemented in April 2016. So it's been 4 years. ;~;

Yeah, I don't think you are able to access the page unless you still have at least one legacy shop.

If you've already converted your shops to the newer system, this information doesn't really affect you.

I'm not gonna pretend to know what I'm talking about, but I'm genuinely curious: for users who haven't logged in or who have just been dragging their feet, wouldn't it be possible for Subeta to just move all their items into the vault for them and then get rid of their shops?

@youngexplorer IIRC it's the page that allows you to convert your legacy shop (the type of shop before the massive shop update a few years ago) into the current version.
