We've changed the special item for our Subscription Quester, Councilor, and Goddess plans. We will be changing this special item slot every month.

Note on special item from the subscription plans: If you are currently subscribed to one of these plans (Quester, Councilor, and Goddess), you will get this month's item on the day your subscription renews. If you get charged a few days before the special item changes out, meaning you get a second copy of the previous prize, you can file a ticket to get it swapped to the new one!

Important Announcement from Your Programmers

Some people were billed today even though their subscriptions were stated to renew tomorrow. The subscription renewal dates shown on the Subscriptions page were off by one day; subscriptions should renew on the same day as they are billed, which should be the same date every month - and equal to the date you subscribed. For example, if you had subscribed on the 12th last month, the page erroneously showed the renewal date as the 13th this month when it should've been the 12th.

We take this issue seriously and are working to make this right. The renewal dates on the Subscriptions page are now accurate to when you will be next billed. If you were billed today, your subscription will renew by the end of the day and your billing date will be the 12th every month. We are also giving 500 CSC to all subscribers as compensation for the inaccurate billing information. If you are a subscriber, you will receive this along with a sidebar notification by the end of the day.

If you would like to change your billing date to a different date of the month, you can do so by cancelling your subscription and starting a new one on the date you want it to be after your current subscription period runs out.

Reaper - Perhaps Subeta can get away with this legally and technically (likely their TOS says they can change anything at any time), but ethically what they're doing is wrong. Yes I still get the 10% if my friend buys CSC, but why would she do that anymore now that subscriptions with the awesome bonuses are available? This referral bonus has effectively been cancelled -- in practice if not in fact. To conpensate, ethically Subeta should change the referral bonus so that users who have had successful referrals under this system will receive 10% not just from CSC purchases but *all* cash spent on the site -- including subscriptions.

I am a loyal user who considered signing up for a subscription when they were announced, but this leaves me cold. The staff person I talked to when I filed a ticket wasn't very helpful. I assume Subeta is going to simply ignore my feedback. Not sure if I want to play this game anymore, which is heartbreaking considering how much money, time, and effort I've put into Subeta over the years.

We're not receiving csc vouchers, as is explained in the posts, on the subscription page, and as I noted again in my reply. We receive vouchers to buy cws specifically from the cw shops. If the item someone wants to buy is only slotting or is secondhand from another user, the voucher can't help you. You also cannot use them in the cash shop.

As for the bonus weekends...there have been several replies from Keith about them. They're gone forever. They aren't coming back. They flubbed the announcement when they said there wouldn't be one upcoming and didn't clarify that they were done forever, but have since clarified it.

As for the actual wording on the referral page:

"Did you know that you can earn prizes by referring your friends to Subeta? For each new user you refer you get 1 referral point to spend in the prize shop in addition to 10% of each Cash Shop Credit purchase your referral makes. So if someone you've referred purchases 5,000 Cash Shop Credits, you'll get 500 CSC credited to your account. You'll get this bonus every time your referrals make a CSC purchase!"

Nothing in there to say either way that it is or is not guaranteed in perpetuity. So we're both right and both wrong on that. They don't promise you'll always get it or get additional compensation should the situation change on the site so *shrug*

You're not entitled to additional compensation just because your friend stopped buying csc since bonus weekends are no longer happening.

Management can access the original wording, but I don't remember the text specifying there was no guarantee or that the bonus would end at any point. It said that referrers would receive a portion of purchased CSC by referrals. Period.

Well, she's a friend of mine, so I can easily ask her, if that's the sticking point for management. However, purchases were regularly made with each bonus weekend, which is when most people purchased CSC in the past. It's not unreasonable to think that someone who regularly purchased CSC with the bonus weekends would refrain for a few months until there was another bonus weekend. I will wait to see what management has to say.

There's no bonus csc though, that's what I'm saying. There's no package that gives you any csc at all. The only reason some of us got a 500 credit gift card this time was because the subscription page had an error that misrepresented our renewal date. Anyone who wants csc still has to buy it. Bonus weekends have been gone since April, the new subscription only came out last month. The cw vouchers can only be used in the cw shops specifically, if you want things not in shops or in the cash shop etc you still have to buy csc.

Also, the 10% was an encouragement to put a link up so people who were joining joined through you, but not a guarantee. You didn't get it already for anyone you referred who didn't buy csc. It wasn't a promised thing that was your way to earn csc, it was just a small thank you. I get that it's a bummer if you were used to people buying more, but beyond the bonus weekends having been gone for 3 months already, we're in a spot where a lot of people have lost their jobs and have to prioritize spending - chances are that's affecting your referrals' spending too. You can still buy csc with sP - questing for a few days is usually profitable enough to earn the sP to get a few hundred csc a week.

@Reaper Thanks. The problem is more the lack of bonus weekends now. The only way to get bonuses now is to subscribe, so why wouldn't someone who spends money on the site each month do that instead? This will de facto change spending habits.

I signed up on the 14th of last month and I was charged for the renewal on paypal yesterday, the 13th. It is now the 14th and renewal as far as the site hasn't happened yet, but maybe it happens at the exact hour I signed up or at the end of the day on the 14th or something, so I guess I'll wait until the 15th to file a ticket if it doesn't happen by then. Gold is still active anyway, it's just all the other stuff that hasn't shown up yet.

errr my issue was with the stamps on the card they said we would be given. I have the goddess plan and I only received one stamp on my purchase card. I was under the impression I was going to be given two for each month I kept my subscription open and spending my CSC on items in the shop? Is this just ignorance on my part?

I subscribed at the highest tier last month and I believe the 13th is the correct renewal date for my subscription. I was billed very early this morning, like 4 AM, ok all good. But my subscription still hasn't actually renewed yet (no bonus item received yet either). And now the subscription page, which displayed my renewal date as recently as this morning, no longer does. It just has the button to sign up under every tier, as if I'm not actually subscribed at all. I know the post says it'll renew by the end of the day, but with half an hour left and the disappearance of my subscription status from that page, I'm not 100% confident it will...

Thanks for the extra CSC though, and the bonus item is very nice.

The new subscription system doesn't give out csc normally - the 500 csc card is a compensation for them giving us wrong renewal dates. Also, people could always subscribe before, the new system just doesn't have the "add on csc" tiers to it. I never received compensation from someone who I referred who subscribed to the site - even if they subscribed with added monthly CSC. We've only ever gotten bonus CSC from our referrals when they bought CSC directly from the site outside of subscriptions. That hasn't changed as far as I'm aware as it's completely separate from the subscription service.

I'm glad my subscription will renew on the 12th after all. Was annoying to have my GA run out for a bit, but at least it didn't take long to reactivate.

I also got some wrong text in the renewal event: "Thank you for subscribing to the main318685 plan! Your plan has been renewed. " It was a little funny to see.

When does your subscription run out? When I filed a ticket about mine, the explanation I got was as follows:
July's item will be rewarded from mid July to mid August, as the new Subscription plans weren't intoduced until mid July. So for August's item, you have until "mid" September to obtain it.

@Dill But the message at the bottom makes it seem like you can re-subscribe at any time rather than after your current one runs out. So if I wanted to change my renewal date from the 2nd to the 13th, I would have to wait until the 13th of next month instead of being able to do it tomorrow, therefore missing out on this month's item (I mean I guess I could buy it when it's moved to the Cash Shop with the extra CSC from today but still)?

@pointycatears Canceling prevents the subscription from auto-renewing. You've already paid for a month of GA time and any associated benefits, so those are yours until it expires. Once it has, you can then choose a new subscription plan, if you are so inclined. :)

So my plan is supposed to auto-renew today, and it says the 12th on the subscription page, but it hasn't kicked in yet? Shouldn't it kick in before I actually lose premium perks?

I'm thinking of changing my renewal day, but I heard that if you cancel your subscription, you can't re-subscribe until your current one runs out, is that still true?
