WTF ?!?! Who did that x_X"

Without proof of a site being a scam, dont' clear profiles like that.

Yes, and I've ended up with some pretty useless subolumbiahouse something- both cancelled but they're still calling like "Give us moneypls, your debit card is moneyless!omgomg you owe us, we ruin your credit."
They're probably not giving it to the site, I agree, but you're not getting the iPod for it, either. That still counts as a scam.

I've said sorry and I wouldn't do it again.

cara, have you ever even looked at that site? You don't give them your credit card number. The only information that you pass to that site is your address, so theyc ans end you teh iPod.

The site that he was using is the one that jeff (highrise, ex admin) got his iPod from. (I recommended it to him awhile back)

The only people that get your information are the 'sponsers' that you sign up for, which are normally large internet businesses like AOL and NetFlix. I highly doubt they are giving your credit card numbers back to the iPod site (and most of them are 30 day free trials, so you aren't ven paying for anything if you remember to cancle your subion)

Not ot mention from the T&C:

s to Other Web Sites

Personally, I don't think it should be allowed at all?
I mean, why should we make ourselves open to a scam, as well? By the time you're able to prove whether or not it's actually a scam, a few dozen people could have been scammed out of their money. I hardly think that's fair at all, imho. I don't know, it's shady business. I was just trying to protect users from getting ripped off and Subeta from getting the blame for allowing it.

Anywhooo. Sorry. Next time I come across banner ads like that, I'll leave it until someone can take the time and money to sign up for them.

Hmm, well I do sort of agree with that.

Yes, I visit a few other forums and I know more than one person that has signed up for freepay and a few other of those free ipod sites. They did all the steps, and nothing ever came for them. After waiting for a long time the cancled their offer/whatever on the deal they had to sign up with that was charging them and they noticed they were still being charged for things they cancled (They did finally get it off the credit card).

I have seen people say they got them, and people that have said they haven't. So it doesnt seem full proof. =

Also I'm kind of wondering why're even allowing these s on the site. I mean, 90% of things like this are scams. Someone could easliy make their own up. I have no idea if we'd be held responsible, but.. if we allow them maybe it should be a requirment that the staff check it out before allowing them on the site, to make sure it's not a scam, to keep the users safe. =

Short of getting ripped off myself, I'm not sure what other proof there is to offer. /:

It was me. Alyssa pointed me in that direction this morning. She was pretty clear that her friends had done the offers on that particular website and they were getting charged for things even after they cancelled the orders.

I didn't accuse the person of being a scammer. It was a fact, though, that the website is a scam.

There are about 3480324802 different free iPod sites out there. That particular one just happens to be a scam to get credit card numbers.
