Update on recent newsletter!

This created downstream issues with sending things like password request emails (which we explicitly told people they'd need to do in the newsletter), and those are now going out and should be completed in the next hour or so.
While we wait, the redeemable item for the newsletter is the Mortiking Pudding Dirt Cup which we've made into the free gift so that everyone can get a copy, and you'll be able to pick up an extra when you eventually get the newsletter.

Is this still a thing that's being worked on? Because I never saw any newsletter at all.
The free gift system bothers me because life has been hectic lately (deployed husband, kid smashing his tooth in half, being unwell... Just off the top of my head) and I haven't been on in a while but it means I have missed out on this item and did not get the newsletter email. Hopefully that'll come eventually, but then there are users that get it twice just because the email system messed up and you offered it for free on a system that requires people to be online at a certain time.
I'm also interested in how this impacts how you are going through the list and checking which email addresses are active so you can resend the newsletter emails because I still use my AOL email address. I've just come back and still haven't received the email despite it now being 2.5 weeks later.
I'm not particularly bothered by this item in particular, but it did make me think of the points I have made above for other users who are and/or future items and issues.

My email on file is correct and I am a dinosaur still using yahoo, but I did not get a newsletter.
My current e-mail is the right one and I didn’t receive said newsletter. I’m not complaining. I’m just letting you guys know that you may need to update my email in the system or even maybe just re-group with yahoo.

Hi, I might be a portion of the problem here. I signed up so long ago that I don't have the same email anymore. I cant get into the one I have on here. I use it to login (Well I'm always logged in so I never use it) Anyways since its part of my login info I didn't know about doing a change of email. I do still want to get the emails you send out for important info. So please if someone could direct me to what I need to do. I don't want to upset my login info though. Thanx

We've stopped sending the emails, which is why we've put the item into the free gift. We have to do work to clear out those emails that will bounce, otherwise our provider won't work with us.
It's not a problem if you use yahoo or AOL, or any of those providers. The issue is that we have thousands of 'dead' emails that prevent us from sending out the rest.
We're working on it, and that's why we've made the item the free gift until we can resume sending them out. If you havent' got the email yet, you aren't going to for probably a week or two :)

Hi everyone! I'm going to bring up a new panel on Kumos this week so that you can see / change your email! I'm shocked we didn't have that yet lol
Also - it's totally fine if you use gmail or aol or any email provider! What the post is talking about is we sent out thousands of emails to users from 20 years ago - and a lot of those emails bounced because they just don't exist anymore.
That made our provider, who has a legal obligation to ensure that we aren't spamming emails to put a hold on our email sending capabilities, until we could go through and clean out our email list, in terms of users who we suspect the email would bounce from. So we're using another service now (you can see how much these things cost and add up, just to send a newsletter :() to clean out those old rolls.

I use Proton Mail and the only thing of Subeta that I see is when I needed to change my password in Kumos. I remember sometime ago you guys ask us to change out passwords and email addresses. Is Proton Mail a no go like Google? Do I need to change my email address again?

I don't know if it was mentioned yet (as there's so many comments now), but I found my message in my spam. I don't know why, as I have emails from subeta dating back years (I don't delete often..). Just thought I would mention.

I switched my email a while ago, I checked my old yahoo email and the last newsletter was from 2019. I didn't receive one to my new email... Will you let us know when you send out the newsletter again?

Also, I don't think that staff meant to imply that every yahoo or hotmail, etc. email address is an inactive one, just using those as examples where they are probably seeing a large number coming back as unable to send because they are no longer in use. Subeta has been around for 20 years, I'm sure there are a lot of old email addresses from old accounts of people who don't play anymore that may no longer exist or haven't been checked in years.

Having a Subeta account with an email listed on your dashboard profile section should be enough, then Subeta (or whatever mass-emailing service they use) will use all of those email addresses saved to people's accounts to compile a mailing list. So there shouldn't be anything you need to do on your end other than make sure the email associated with your account is an active one that you still have access to.

completely speculating, but i think it makes sense to want to contact users on the previous newsletter that may not be active anymore/forgot about subeta as a friendly reminder to be like “hey we’re still here! come on by, instead of only having the currently active user base sign back up.

What is the downside of resetting the newsletter completely and having EVERYONE sign up again? Or having it signup next time we sign in and forcing that to happen??? I don't know how things work.... I'm just saying some stuff really! 🦤

My roommate still visits Yahoo for news daily and still insists on using that email. I think it's wild, but he apparently he won't change until the pry it from his hands.

I've searched my email using the search feature and nothing with the word subeta was found.. Ive never had a aol or yahoo

my main email that I have had since 2001 is a yahoo.com one. I had no problems getting the newsletter. Hope everyone that had issues gets everything straightened out soon

If you go to your profile section on your Dashboard, it will show you the email address you currently have associated with Subeta. If you need/want to change it to a different one, you can do so on the same page.

I have Yahoo emails... but my main email is one from a domain I'm pretty sure doesn't exist. Something older than Hotmail.


I have no idea if the email that subeta uses for me i actually have anymore - but I do use yahoo still. How can we check on our email for subeta account? I have lost access to a couple that I created at the dawn of time and just moved away from. lol

I had the newsletter page bookmarked, in case it ever changed. Here it is for posterity <3 I want to think it was from not long after the Jaxon/Ian plot?

I haven't gotten the newsletter yet, I just checked and the email address I used on subeta is a hotmail one which I no longer use for NEW accounts, but anything sent there does still end up in my current outlook inbox, so I just never changed it.

Wish I could change the email associated with my account but there are reasons which I don't fully understand to blame for that




i assume there's a method to figuring out which emails belong to inactive users? because i also definitely still use an aol address for spam (which if i'm not mistaken is what my subeta is registered with lol)
