@Bliss My big battle pet isn't capped and it was a struggle but we were able to get five wins (and 15 losses, but one of those is my fault for forgetting to to heal after one of the wins then getting distracted). There is a helpful post in the Battle forum for choosing the right weapons and scrolls if you have them.
Silly question maybe, but if I "use" the item to unlock the challenger, do I still get to have it as a wardrobe item?
Aww man. Another super hard battle challenger I can't beat yet, with a plushie I will need as a reward, so it will be a long time before I get the plushie.

Barin is capped (I'm working on lowering some stats so he can have a bit more health) and I see people can only get one win. Maybe i won't buy it, because I probably won't get 5 wins

Also, are we going to stop getting CS challengers every single month now that the items are available all year round, and either only get them occasionally or every 4 months (like for seasons)?

Also FWIW: my best pet isn't capped (almost is, but just shy about sub-2k) and we're at 8 wins. Consider what elements Shinwas Nightmare is dishing out consistently and adjust your strategy to win from there.
The drawing/art is stunning! However, Shinwa's nightmare just kicked my pet's tail... and he's capped. Julienne could only beat him once... and he protects our family from... everybody! There's not an opponent he can't best, but Shinwa's nightmare? One victory was all he got.
