It really didn't matter that her first name wasn't given in the actual movie itself, it's on the internet, didn't take much searching and it was easily found. I mean, i'm sure people didn't go out and rent the movie just to see if they could get the answer to the trivia LOL.

So, when the trivia asked for the name in the original, I kinda had to make a face about that, lol.<br />

Yay! I got it right!. You really didn't even have to see the movie to get it right. I just remembered from the first Scream movie where the killer is asking Drew Barrymore all those horror movie questions, and that was one of them. But I did have to go to IMDb to find out the first name.

When I read the last trivia it specifically said they wanted the FIRST name in the question itself. I didn't see any format clarification from deb, they were already gone off the page when I got here. <img src=http://www.subetax.org/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif border=0>sometimes you have to read questions carefully, I always read them outloud sometimes two or three times before I try to answer, lol.

Just because we've been told that in trivias the shortest answer possible is the correct one doesn't mean we should assume that it'll only be the first name and not the last as well. Like with the trivia about Lorne Greene, we were told to put the first and last name there, and since when I came in this trivia to see the comments I didn't see an message about the format, I assumed it's the same. Digi actually Debi gave us the format on that one so a lot of people who put the right answer did it because they saw her comment before it disappeared, I can't say for sure but I can't remember the trivia saying what's the first name I honestly remember it said what's the name :/

In the past we've already been told that the trivia answers are the shortest possible answers available. So no, Pamela Voorhees would be wrong, and Pamela would be right. Everyone had the same problem with the trivia about the socks. "Right" instead of "Right Sock".

I was concerned whether or not simply putting Pamela would be right or not - assuming it could have been Pamela Sue (many are given a double [first] name) ... the argument of cultures taking the first name to mean the family name is moot - the site is in North America. I'm fairly certain if they wanted to know what the characters first name would be in say, Asia ... they would have asked it that way - so it's a good rule of thumb to assume, unless it is otherwise posted to go by the assumption 'when in Rome' (or N America as it were). Then again - sometimes trivia is a crap shoot - don't feel too bad, it's happened to all of us at one time or another.

Since I never saw the movie I asked a friend and he told me that it would be Jason. When I had entered the word he got back to me and told me that it was not Jason but his mother. lol. Well, at least I was not the one that really had it wrong... LOL

I have never seen any of the Friday the 13th movies and got the answer right. It was probably easier for me because I didn't have the preconceived notion that it was Jason and read the WHOLE Wikipedia article until I found her first name in notes.

Considering it was *almost* a trick question, I'm surprised that so many people got it right. I was positive that most people would look at 'Friday the 13th' and 'killer' and think only Jason, forgetting or not knowing his mother was actually the killer in the original movie.
