Fortunately, my Mom doesn't look at this as "wasting good money on fake items." She sees it as my entertainment, and the way I choose to spend my allowance. I don't go to movies, I don't hang out at the mall, I don't buy the latest clothes from Abercrombie and Fitch. I like my DP's and they are actually a lasting investment in my own personal entertainment. I promised myself at one point that I'd never spend money on virtual items again, but... these items are so lovely! The artists did a really great job. So, I told myself I could afford a couple as a thanks to the staff for their hard work and enduring all the recent problems... Thank you all very much!
