Rewrite!

We have been making progress daily with the recode - and most of the major features are finished, or getting there.

Today, we've hit a major milestone! We were able to port over all user accounts, inventories, and mail.

If you could please log into the rewrite and test these features out (make sure things got moved over correctly!) and post in the forums on the site about any problems (or suggestions!) you might have, that'd be a big help.

Notice

Nothing you do on rewrite will transfer to this site (www.subeta.org), and vice versa. If you buy an item in the shops on rewrite, you will not have it on the real site - and it will probably be cleared in some time from rewrite as we constantly move data around. Same with creating pets, etc, etc.

That means that any data on the account can possibly be days old. Remember that we do not port data every second (it makes the database go slow!) and it's possibly only few days that data will be moved over.

ONE MORE TIME: This is not the final time we will move data over. What is there now is NOT what will be moved over when the recode goes live.

To the people who are asking how to go to their vault in the rewrite, the vault is accessible by inventory, two boxes over from the trash can. =3=

the avatar system looks like it needs work. the hair option doesn't show on the body, and the clothes don't show either when you drag them over and click to put them on the body

Concerning the Wardrobe, I liked how the items were organized by category. Also, I can see how dragging the items would be good for someone with few items of clothing, but for those with over, say, 35 items would have a hard time.

I'm on IE I logged in but when I put in my password it just kept dissappearing so I xed out that login box thing and went to a new page and I was logged in.. 
And I can post on the forums over there, so yay for that! 
I'm missing all of my pets over there so I'm guessing their info hasn't been moved over yet?

I'm not really surprised IE users can't acess it. Why don't you just make the site FF only and end our misery? At least it wouldn't tease us with these (supposedly) better features and then not let us access it.

I like it. The shoutbox. Easy inventory sorting.Hair layer. Though the only thing totally bothered me was the wardrobe. It was very unorganized and it was hard to sort through all my clothes <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/smiley_sadface.gif" border="0" />

I agree with what everyone is saying about the wardrobe. I have 300+ items in there, and its just a pain to scroll through, looking for them. And I know lots of people have 1000+ so I can only imagine. 
 
Can't we keep our old wardrobe, but with the base change option?

I don't think it's that bad. I like how it's wider (less of a big empty space on my screen), and I like how the pets nicely fit on the screen so you only need to scroll a little. 
 
The wardrobe definitely needs to go back to how the wardrobe is on here. I don't like drag-and-drop, nor do I like it being so horribly organized. Also - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add catagories(like in shops and galleries) to the Vault, so we're able to organize it as we please.

Not a fan... also not a fan of the fact that while Reborn and Dark Matter pets seem to take substantial hits in stats, Scribble pets get 10% nearly across the board. What? There's no logic in that! Experiments also get 0 boost... I thought they would at least get an Intel boost. 
It gave me a headache being on Rewritten Subeta for just 5 minutes. Looks like there's still a lot of work to do...

I can log in but nothing works? My sP is gone and my pets aren't there, and my shop is not accessible. 
Does anybody else have this much trouble? xD Seems like a few pets didn't make it through but that most people have their sP, whereas I don't. 
I hope there will be an option to stay on this site as well as the option to move to the rewrite. xD Although I'm sure I wouldn't mind if all the bugs were ironed out and I got my pets, sP, and shop back, etc...

I'm unable to log in on the rewrite, and I would use to forums to report such a bug, but as I use Internet Explorer on a family computer and cannot download or use Firefox, posting and looking at trades has been quite impossible for some time now.

I had no problem logging in using Firefox. The Inventory, Mail, Wardrobe items and sP on hand seem to have made the transfer just fine...however I am not fond of the new Wardrobe system (save the ease of Avatar base changing), as the categories for clothing are absolutely necessary IMO. Searching through hundreds of items in disarray is dizzying. 
 
Should it stay that way I will have to rethink my clothes hoarding ways, and that just cannot happen! <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif" border="0" />

Um....I agree 100% with Julzeh. Seems like you guys got caught up in using a lot of fancy coding and javascript, but "fancy" isn't necessarily better, especially in the world of webpages. I don't bother with sites that are flash, or have javascript rollovers and popups everywhere. Simpler is better guys! 
 
I'm totally losing faith in the recode....it's starting to look like neo...

Pretty good so far... All I want is the current Wardrobe system to stay (catagories, PLEASE T~T), and maybe a change to the statboosts of Bloodred pets? I mean, they're covered in BLOOD for goodness' sake, they should have a Strength boost to match their ferocious appearance or something. P: Just my two cents on that.

I finally got in after a few times but I am missing some of my items & Sp's & The Things In My Inventory I put in my shop & are already sold.. I don't have my new outfits that I just bought my love flowing teapot, the tea for two, my rats nest I just got & several other things.. I haven't totally got to check to make sure I have everything in my Vault Yet.. 
 
& In the HA Generator did you take out the Hightail that's the one I mostly use..

Interesting... the item port looks to be from a database save earlier than the pets/sP port. For example, my vault shows I still have the cauldron a friend gave me to get my nuclear potion, but my Nuclear Illumis is right there with my pets.

Can't log in so I can't report a problem there. I'm using IE6, if that has anything to do with it (it seems IE6 seems to be something people don't like, not sure why). I put in my current username and password for THIS site and when I hit Login it just wipes away my password and makes me type it in again. Doesn't say anything, doesn't do anything, nothing. I just keep typing my password in and I get nothing.

Everything checks for me. I have some problems with the wardrobe system, though... (personal problems) If we have a lot of clothing, how do we drag something form the bottom of the page all the way to the top without one of those center scroll button thingies? Also, maybe keep the Shoutbox where it currently is? And make sure the recode works for IE users... Thanks. =] Not sure if this is the right place to put these concerns but... yeah. It's a little daunting to try and do anything in my wardrobe, as it's all one one very VERY large page <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />. Pets seem fine, vault and inventory seem fine, wardrobe seems fine, but the concept of dragging things up to my avatar isn't working really well with like 1000 items in there. And no sP in the vault got transfered over, but it doesn't look like that's working yet anyway. Thanks again!

This is still Subeta, and the rewrite is still in just a testing phase. It'll be cleared, a lot.

Firefox wouldn't let me log in and gave me an error. Opera let me log in but still gave me an error. IE just didn't do anything, no error, no logging in. And Safari let me log in fine with no errors. O.O

Does this mean that I'll have to use Firefox for everything I do on the "new and improved" Subeta? :/ I use Safari now, and the login box won't come up on that browser. 
 
Also, my account is there, but my inventory/vault/wardrobe and mail are not to be found and it tells me that I only have 5,182,927 sP when I have some in the bank that didn't get transferred. (I'm assuming that that's being worked on yet.)

A lot of images haven't been moved over yet (including item revamps, hair revamps, etc) 
 
The lag is because it's operating on ONE server, while all of subeta (the main site) operates on 5+ servers, currently.
