So a donadak plushie allows you to have 2 extra pet slots - taking you to 12 - so you would have to buy 5 plushies to get to the total of 20 pets. This is $500US and around $600Au or 450million sp at current prices. This fairly well means that 20 pets is a nice idea but not something even worth thinking about for most people. You could reduce the cost of the plushies, you could increase the number of pets each one lets you have - donadak to 3 pets, montre to 2 or maybe have some kind of random number - buying a donadak will give you a random extra amount of pet slots 2-5, montre 1-3 (and the chances of each amount would have to be equal).<br />

Keith, the least you could do is find a way to circulate them a little more frequently in the game itself. Whether it be a VERY lucky vend or an extremely rare quest prize. Maybe even consider donating them like you did the shinigami and Crown. It's not right to have one of the most desired items only obtainable by real life money.

I think prices should go down. Mystical plushies were already very hard to come by before this, now they're going to be a lot harder. Maybe at first people will buy the plushies to sell for sP, but after the initial period, supply will go way down and now not only can people like me who have 15 pet slots get more, but the people who have only 10 can't get more unless they're willing to spend every cent of their birthday, extra (from work), Christmas, etc money (if they happen to get enough) on here, which most people aren't willing to do even. <br /><br />So why not help your loyal users out and lower the price a bit? Not only would you be helping your users, but you'll be helping yourselves. I can almost guarantee that you'll make more money off of selling them for a lower price (around half, maybe a bit above) than at the current prices. People will be much more inclined to buy them if they are affordable. I probably would be inclined to buy at least the montre plushie, and I have never spent more than $10 on the site at a time. So lowering prices helps you and it helps the users. It's a Cash Shop. Users are /paying/ for something in return, in the case of the shop they are paying for an item, in return for their money. Where that money goes (paying wages, server upgrades, etc) does not equate into the immediate transaction between the consumer and subeta.<br />

As tempting as this is, I just can't afford it. Spend too much on DPs, GAs & other cash shop items already. Plus it's difficult enough feeding & training 10 pets. But it's great for those who can afford it & want or need those other colors or species. Wish I had a few more sometimes, but that will have to wait. Nice idea though.

The don gives you 2 pet slots the Mon gives you 1, before this you could only use either: 5 Mons, 2 dons and a mon, 3 mons and a don for a total of 5 extra pets total.<br />
5 for a normal account, 10 for a gold, 15 with the plushies but now it's 20.

Hm, great, I'd love more pet slots, but this doesn't change the fact that I can't afford to pay that much real cash for pixels u.u;;. I do like the idea of free pet slots, but..well its not really fair to give people slots for new pets and then take them away...I mean what if someone can't get online for a long period of time for an unfortunate unforseen event. Its kinda not fair to take away their pets for that.

Wow! I like that we can have more pets now. That's really just punishing those that do take care of their pets and actually want more to take care of. Those that take care of their pets should be rewarded first. Not those that can spend millions. The cash shop is meant to increase funding so this site actually works properly. Not even most upper class people want to waste that much on a pixel. This is a pet site. The least you could do is bump up the free slots without threatening to take them away. What's going to happen if a free one is taken up then their pets slip? Will the pet be removed? I'm sorry but I'm just not seeing anything logical behind this. You want to keep the plushies rare and be fair to those that have already bought them, but what about all those that now want them but they will never be at a reasonable price because so very few are bought? The site is growing and the cash shop obviously isn't raking in enough to make this site work correctly. Cutting the prices down so more will be sold makes sense. This site is a business now, not a toy.

True it's expensive, I currently have 15 pets and they never leave the 'Valley' before before the whole... 'must take care of pets' thing. 5 more, having an idea what I want, to me give me something to work for. It really does. And I can finally adopt pets out which I've never been able to do.

To people who are confused, I'm sure they do the same thing, the Montre plush would give you one new pet slot and the Donadak plush would give you two. When these were very first released, it was said that a user could never be allowed more than 15 pets. To be honest, I think this is nothing but an improvement, I don't think it's very greedy. If someone -wants- to have more than 15 pets, they have the option now, when they didn't before.

I think the idea of giving away free pet slots is amazing -- it'd be great for the people that don't have the money to get the lovely pets they want, and it'd certainly encourage everyone to take care of their pets. :3

The prices are like that for a reason. Not many people take care of their pets - and they buy for them for show. If you're going to have 15 (or 20 pets now) pets just for show - you've got a big price to pay.<br />

I'm having a heated discussion with someone though IM's who thinks that this means the plushies will give you more pet slots per use and I am thinking it just means you can buy more plushies to use. This is just a guess on my part and I can see where people could get confused. This does mean you can buy more plushies to use not that the plushies will give out more slots right?

Just wow. So Keith can't change his mind several years later and raise the limit -- when clearly there are a LOT more pets available now, so there's a greater need for more pet slots for some people? I'm all for Keith growing and changing things as Subeta grows. However, I tend to agree with what Sp4de said - perhaps the Cash Shop prices are too high? Now, when will the average users get a shot to have more than 10 pets without having to spend hundreds of millions or $60+ for the plushies? This is just going to inflate the plushies to an even more indecent price. I know it's very easy to earn sp here but it's hard to save when every week tons of news items worth millions appear and many often retire. Thus you are forced to buy, live without, or pay possibly 5 times as much a week after retiring.<br />

The Cash Shop was meant to fund the site. So why not make the prices more reasonable? $30/60 each? When the idea of keeping our pets happy to do certain things was brought up, this was clearly one of the key reasons. I'm all for more pets and having goals but many just went from needing about 65mil to needing 200mil. Please be considerate to everyone.

You MUST have a Gold Account when you use the Mystical Plushies; errors have occured for people who have not done this properly. (Makes sense, right? Normal users get 5 slots. The GA's allow you access to more slots.) You will then be given the extra slots. There isn't a time-limit to use them, but you MUST have a GA in order to use or access your extra slots. Yes, your GA can lapse for awhile; just get another one to make use of your slots <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />
