Even if this could be blamed for it, releasing items causing downtime would have been an issue that needed to be fixed anyhow--when the site breaks, it messes us staff up as much as everyone else.

No, it didn't break the site. The items were being added over several hours, one at a time, and I simply had to wait until after the site came back up before I could make the news post. <br />
