Um...yeah, actually it did. Without the quotes the sentence has an entirely different meaning. When you are talking about a word itself, rather than using the word according to its meaning, you HAVE to have quotes. No quotes means the word is read as its meaning.

I knew it couldn't be a straight math answer. That would be too easy... so I took a chance on it being "the remainder" since I remember so many times when there was a disclaimer on a question, saying, "This is not a trick question. Don't put "such-and-such" as the answer," but this one had no disclaimer =)

Ugh...I debated for so long on whether to put "the remainder" or "remainder" since trivias usually are the simplest and shortest answer, as well as ignoring the article. But I must have read the question 10 times before finally deciding to use "the remainder" - I was so sure I would get it wrong.

Back a year or two ago when the site was smaller the ~1000 winner limit made sense. But today, the site has grown so large that its just not feasible anymore. With leaving it only to 1000 or so winners, a lot of people aren't getting the chance to participate. Its not always just that they are missing out on a prize, but they could also need them for the blue building. Asides from the rewards, the trivia is (usually) fun and I love doing them, I'd hate to miss one simply because I was asleep or at work during the trivia's length.<br />

I feel that the number of winners should be upped to about ~2000 or so or even better, have a time limit. If 5000 people get an easy trivia prize right, so what? The prize would most likely have been "worthless" anyway but at least everyone who wanted to participate could have without being penalized for having a work/sleep schedule that conflicts with Subeta's trivia.

To echo something said over on another site, Subeta has grown too large for the "change the question after 1000 answers" thing to continue to make sense. It would make more sense now days to keep each question up for a fixed amount of time. Say 24 hours and let the prizes fall where they may. Especially on these easy questions like the past two. But that's just my opinion and I'm nothing but a lowly, non-gold user.
