A new trivia question has been added!

I definitely think we need to band together and post false answers if we see the trivia turn up on Yahoo. Even if it doesn't "out" the cheater at least we could try to deter them. Or we could report the questions to Yahoo, they might remove them. I'm not sure they would but you never know. 
 
And -shakes fist- I was trying so hard to stay up and wait for the trivia to change but I can't fight sleep any longer. =D

I don't know if I'm too late/missed someone else suggesting this, but when you're using the trivia to re-release old/rare/whatever items, couldn't you put a cap on how many people are allowed to answer? Like, say after 500 or so answers (right or wrong) the trivia closes? It would put the item back in circulation, but not at the risk of completely devaluing it, which is the goal, right? I don't know if that would stop the cheaters though.. but then maybe those that legitimately answered right could actually get the prize? :s

Here's my idea... 
 
Make a trivia that doesn't have an answer, then post the answer on yahoo or where ever the problem places are. Anyone that gets it right gets frozen. (Just have to make sure that the answer isn't something that could randomly be guessed. Something like Iateamarshmellowandsneezed or whatever.)

No sense in wasting your venom in here, chances are the people who cheat don't read these messages because they aren't really part of the community. Yes I'm dissappointed I didn't get the minion, but I always play the trivia regardless of whether or not I want the prize. So this just ends up being another of the many prizes I won and don't care for.

I'm sorry, but your answer of pets for the trivia was incorrect. I had no idea what it was talking about and didn't feel like tracking it down. I'm sorry to hear about all the cheating thats going on it's rather dumb having to cheat, thats worse than not knowing the answer!. 
 
Anyway I have no idea about this new one but i'll have a try anyway because it's fun and I enjoy a challenge. I don't care if I get them wrong really it's just an image at the end of the day. I like not having items too because it gives me something to buy in future and a reason to save my sP up <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />. It's the times I get the trivias right that makes it worthwile and I doubt cheaters know how that feels.

I search really hard for the answer, too. So it stinks, but hey, a shirt is better than nothing. And at least it counts towards my Blue Building entrance.

I'm glad the trivia prize was changed, because it was going to be ridiculously deflated anyways. 
And like she said, the old prizes are always re-used, so we'll all just have to wait for the next time it comes around.

Pretty sad that someone cant take the time to search the site or HQ for the answers to trivias. I got it right and I for one actually remembered seeing the answer in a game it didn't take that long to find the correct area.

But there's really no point to doing it. The item will still be distributed again in some way anyway, because it HAS to be if there are too few on the site. It would have been better to have left it in a fair Trivia, where fewer might have been won, because, otherwise, it would go into the Token Shop, or a future giveaway. Trivia was the better of the options to ensure the fewest released.

I found that answer on this page too but didn't submit it because I wasn't able to fint the answer on my own. Actually I didn't think the last trivia was that hard. I knew I'd seen the 'mastery' percentage thing before. I knew it couldn't be related to my pet, but to my own mastery. So I headed over to Games and checked out all the games I've ever played. I haven't played Mystic Spindles in a few months, but I remembered about the discount in the shop. So I checked it out, and there it was! BTW, I think the T-shirt should read "I Got Cheated", since most of us aren't cheaters.

Anyways, the last release was about 300 trivias ago. I just don't see how it would be badly affected assuming many would keep it. Only one I see priced is 14mil.... Seriously. I'm with Monkey. I think they did it on purpose.

Although I don't like the idea of re using trivia items, I do have to say that this cheating problem isn't right. I know that many people were anticipating this prize and I feel sorry that their prize was taken away because of these unworthy people.

o.0 What's all the complaining over? For those of us who got it (and didn't cheat, feel special you trustworthy people you!) we got a brand new item that other people who guessed it wrong didn't get! Granted, cheaters got it too... but hey, now they can parade around honestly, can't they? And they didn't get our precious bunny that they don't deserve. Not to mention, Blackavare is bound to be used again, this isn't the first or second time he's been let out. *got him atleast once before* 
 
I like the new prize, I tend to enjoy newer, specialler items more than re-used prizes.

oh man come on that isn't fair. I found the answer on my own, completely. It isn't fair to punish those who don't cheat. nothing makes me more angry then an entire group of people getting punished for a few people's actions. The only thing that people will learn is that if they don't want people to have the item, or are mad, they'll cheat just to hurt everyone else. Even if you release it another way, the cheater is probably still getting it, so what's the point? 
 
Getting a shirt that says 'I cheated' when I didn't is pretty bad too, I much rather have gotten a red ball. 
 
I really wanted that prize too, it's on my wishlist for my movie/book reference.

Got the last one pretty quickly even though I only played spindles a few times. I don't think I read the instructions very thoroughly or I wasn't paying attention or something, so I remember seeing that how well you do affects that percentage thing, and I was pissed that my percentage was so low xD And then I never went back to that game. :3 
 
And no one's talking about whether or not they're finding this trivia <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_sad.gif" border="0" /> I like to gauge what I find (or can't find) by people's reactions. xD

Okay, after checking the rest of the comments, I have to kill whoever cheated. I checked the ENTIRE SITE before going to the Games, and when I checked the Mystic Spindles and FOUND the answer, I was so happy. After all, I wanted the item because it's a Watership Down reference. 
 
Now I have to settle for this stupid item because of the jerk who cheated.

I did all the spindles levels a few times and then it got monotonous. We used to play it in elementary school (minus interesting the graphics, that was back in the stone age). It did help with the trivia though, LOL! It was one of the few I knew right off. Should have guessed something would go amiss. *sigh*

I actually kind of like the shirt, myself. I didn't cheat, but I hope it does it's purpose and people stop cheating. The trivia is supposed to be for fun. 
 
Many kudos to Arbor for drawing the shirt (it's lovely!) and Debi for switching the prize. I think you did a very good thing =).

I know it sucks to not get the prize we had hoped for but at least we GOT a prize. As long as there are competitions with prizes there will ALWAYS be people who cheat. I just wish there was some way of finding out who so that THEY could be punished but I understand why this happened. 
 
I hope I got the new one right though...otherwise I'll feel pretty silly! lol

Maybe this will encourage them to look for the answer like other and myself do.If I can't find the answer I will either guess or just skip and wait for the next trivia. well, at least I didn't look long that time. I used to play spindles a bit and the percent thing stuck with me as I had 83 percent I think. ;P So I went there pretty much right away. still, I wanted the bunny. ;P

Taking it down and putting up a new one would be pointless because: a) the cheaters had already answered, so they would have unjustly received a valuable prize, and b) they'd just cheat to get the answer to the new one. This is the way that known cheating on the Trivia has always been handled, by changing the prize.

That is crap. I worked hard to find the answer because I wanted the rabbit, not some t-shirt that said I had cheated when I most certainly did not. 
If you knew the answer was leaked, why not take down the trivia and put up a new one instead of leaving this one up for almost a day and cheating us of our prize? 
 
There will always be cheaters as long as a trivia exists. Yes, it sucks and those people don't deserve a prize or even to be allowed to stay on Subeta, but its impossible to stop them all and hurting everyone else who plays fairly is wrong. 
 
I know you try your hardest Debi and maybe it wasn't even your call, but to have a prize I wanted and earned switched to some shirt that says I cheated does not make me particularly happy right now.

Then the old prizes will never be able to be re-used; it isn't fair to the people who already have them and got them legitimately if 1500 more suddenly go out. 500 isn't too bad; those will be absorbed fairly quickly. But that's about the limit.

I see people asking trivia answers constantly on Yahoo answers. Usually there are others that pop up and say "hey, that's cheating" this is the first time I've seen anything done about it though.
