I personally liked the eyebrows. They reminded me of my Bernese Mountain Dog Wolfgang! He has brownish rusty parks like that aboe each eye. If these two designs where combined, with the new look and tan eyebrows, it would look almost exactly the same!

I'm a little bit upset that you would think I'm creating this Ruffie for myself only because I own one. I actually don't like to own pets I've drawn myself, and I always change their looks when I own them. If you look on my Ruffies page, you will see the way I see MY Ruffie. <br />

I removed them because I wanted to please the users, and I had no reason other than 'I liked them' to really back me up. <br />

The first one was just waaaay too much tan. :S I quite like the shade of blue here and it sort of balances out the color more. The lighter blue spots are a bit odd with the warmer looking tones, but other than that, it's fine. Since I'm not a ruffie owner, my opinion is a bit biased about the color, honestly, I couldn't care less if it was tan or all blue, so I'm not going to complain about something that doesn't even apply to me.

As far as the "who keeps a pet common?" question...hi, I would. I freaked out when I accidently changed Iandu (my Legeica) to galactic. Fortunately, one of my friends had a Legeica potion she didn't need and just gave it to me. (This was in the time before "common" potions.) But I was literally crying because I thought he looked so ugly all of a sudden.<br />

The problem is that dusk doesn't make everything blue...it makes it dark. It's past dusk where I'm at; so I can't look outside and tell you what I see, but trust me, your "dusk" dog should--with the tan you INSIST upon using--brown in the dusk version. Only the sky becomes a deeper blue, and that's because it starts by looking blue. Change the name of the potion to "Dusky Sky" if you want to justify the blueness of it.

I think that this time around the artist got most of the flaws that the other one had, like those weird eyebrows. I think the blue around the eyes makes the face seem more puppy-like and the paw looks more natural too.<br />

The only thing i'd be concerned about is the light blue speckles on it, but that isn't a big deal, it looks alot better ^^

Like the tail better now... It was redrawn, right? ... for its shape, but the markings are just... really bad, I think. Maybe markings would be okay, but it needs to be more... subtle? I think the Subeta users may take more nicely to that. Make the Ruffie light blue again, not tan, and use some shades of blue for the markings that are also light, but distinguishable from the usual blue color.

Rah, just as a suggestion if that is going to be Dusk, the small speckles are really lost in the other two colors. Maybe keep them whitish like the paws? I wasn't crazy about the eyebrows on the tan one, but overall I did like that one better. The pose, the colours, everything. (except the eyebrows lol did I say that already?) If I get more pet slots anytime in the future, I would make a ruffie now, with that tan colouring that so many people didn't like. =p Great work Rah.

Awww.... I didn't think it would be possible for me to like a re-revamp more, but I do. Not a huge fan of the sky blue markings, I might have preferred those in cream but it's hard to tell without seeing it. :/ It's looking more and more like this is turning into someone's personal 'pet' and not the old Ruffie. I was going to get a ruffie before this, and was sort of hoping that the revamp would make a killer new common, because I wanted the baby blue ruffie I'm so used to. The dusk is dusk, it doesn't look a thing like the original and it's .. not going to be in my pet slots, after all. :/ No ruffies for me. This revamp, while the art is pretty, has become a disappointment.

I think this one definitely has an improved pose. I don't know what I think of the light blue spots. They totally counter the more realistic tones that this Ruffie utilizes. I also miss his eyebrow spots. Thought they gave him character. I still totally love that expression, though. I'd definitely be tempted to get one if the new style wins. The old one just.... it looked chibi to begin with; too cartoony for my taste.<br />

I love it =D The colors look fabulous and I really like how the dark facial markings (for lack of a better way to describe it xD) bring out the eyes. The ears and the one paw look much better now, as well ^^

All the colors used is starting to worry me a little.. And with the colors being so different I'm concerned it's going to start looking odd on a few of the common colors. :C What is the Cream going to look like with all those different shades? White, cream, brown, /and/ teal? That feels a little.. busy to be honest. And with the cream being more of a secondary color that way, would it really be 'Cream'? And what about Marsh? So-far I've only seen 2 colors used on most of it's pets. What will the other colors be?<br />

I like Window's suggestion about it being all blue. Then the light blue spots won't look so out of place. I know you said that when a per is blue it makes it difficult to make them Dusk, but I think Window has a good point. Plus it sticks to the original Ruffie color palette which a lot of people still like very much. :3

Much better! ^^ The anatomy is lots better and the new markings, eyes, and mouth is much more playful, just like the ruffie! =D The only concern is the colors, I like the light blue of the modern ruffie with the dark blue markings, but I guess the tan-ish brown is nice too.

I still think tan and steel blue were poor choices in colour, but I guess I understand the concern about the common look being too similar to dusk/cream. Well first of all, the markings are great, I have no problems with that (well the little spots are a little strange to see, but I noticed that you said they serve a purpose). I see the leg was fixed, and though I didn't have a problem with it, it does look better now. But, the color. I never really agreed with the dark blue and tan together on the last one, it just didn't fit together. Now there's also sky blue? I can't say I really understand that choice at all. If you're going to have that kind of unrealistic blue, I think it's best to change the "realistic" tan color to a lighter blue or something. To be honest, it looks like a dog got sprayed with some paint. <br /><br />It's almost ready Rah, all it needs is a more "flowing" color scheme. As I suggested in the last poll, a dark brown color would probably work well instead of the dark blue if you want to go for a more realistic puppy. I'm not sure what you can replace the sky blue with. But this is a ruffie, not a dog, so maybe you can instead replace the tan color and keep the blues. I really think a light baby blue color would work instead of the tan. It would not look like the dusk because dusk is a darker, sometimes dustier blue. The angelic is currently a pink color so it wouldn't look the same. Of course you could always change the color if you revamp it, but it still would look significantly different from the common. This looks much much better, Rah. You redrew the ears, the claws and the paw nicely, plus added the right amount of light to the eyes. However; I'm still not sold on the colors. If you're going for something more natural, why not just make your brown a tad bit more orange-ish and then darken the grey-blue to a blackish-blue? I understand we're not going to get our traditional common ruffie back (And I'm still pretty disappointed about it. :/) but I don't think incorporating blue like this will make up for the lack of blue all over. The color scheme really really needs to change, but no offense. Everyone's been saying the colors have needed to be changed from the get go.

I really like how you enlarged the dark blue marking, I think it looks a LOT better like this. The only thing I don't like/think fits is the lighter blue markings, they stand out a little too much to me. Otherwise it's adorable Rah!!

Yes! Yes! Yes! I still think the darker blue is a little too dark, but that doesn't matter. I love the addition of the tiny bright blue spots and the increased presence of the darker blue. It gives it that otherworldly look that was lacking from the first revamp. I know we don't have real blue dogs, but I have seen black with bluish tinges, so it just didn't seem different enough. This one works well though.

It's a more unusual color combination, which I like. The only thing that bugs me at all is the darker cream/tan colour. Some how it feels off. could be because the old Ruffie was blue and white. Maybe a light blue or lighten the cream color. Otherwise its an adorable puppy beast.

Hmm, the eyes look fine to me, they're supposed to be super-cute, and bright and young looking. I love the colour scheme on this, and the change in colour isn't as extreme as the first revamp so I think that a lot more people (who are used to the original Ruffies) will prefer this. The markings, in fact, sort of remind me of a classic English Cocker Spaniel, one of my favourite dog breeds! I love it!!

I really like it but the only thing I would say is to either remove those blue spots or make them a paler blue so they don't stand out allot. Other than that I have to say I realy like the way you've done the shading Rah and I personaly love the cream and blue grey colouring oh and the eyes look much better too. Rah, I absolutely love it! Such a great improvement on the previous redraw. Now it looks like an adorable puppy instead of reminding me of this old Shih Tzu I used to walk. I don't think it needs any more changes <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_happy.gif" border="0" />.

I work at a shelter and let me tell you puppy claws are the WORST. They are always sharper then the claws from the adult dogs and they always squirm and nail you right down the arm with them. *Looks at scar that runs down arm...* But they are just so cute you just can't have any ill feelings for the puppy <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_raspberry.gif" border="0" /><br />

I debated on getting rid of the claws - but honestly, all puppies have them, and are still cute. They need them to dig with and to scratch with, and I always find it weird to put claws on mean colours when the common doesn't have any claws - because dogs claws aren't retractable. And I decided that Ruffies claws wouldn't be retractable either <img src="http://images.subeta.org/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />

Also, can I just say: I looove the eyes. They pop a lot more on this version, due to the new palette. They look so innocent and bright. I think that's my favorite part. (Cause I'm a freak)

Fantastic - this one is even better! You fixed all the leg/tail/ear issues, and it's still totally adorable. I miss the eyebrowlets, but I guess I'm in the minority there.

Oh wow... the markings on this one are even better than on the first version. o____o Really...wow. The changes in the ear/tail/leg positions look really nice, too... and I noticed the paws have changed shape, which looks nice. ^^ I still prefer how the original Ruffie lacked claws, but hey, I'm not complaining. XD<br />I enjoyed the other revamp, but I can see that you really took the crits you recieved and made it even better this time around. ^^ -votes for the newest one- The tail is still my favorite part. ♥

This is much better; especially with the foreleg. I like the new blue spots, and there's more shine in the eye which is good. No more eyebrows! To be honest, I really liked the idea that someone had (ClockworkReverie I think), about the spots above the eyes instead of full-blown eyebrows. This still looks good, though.

I like different things about each. The paw and no eyebrows is definitely better. I think I prefer the coloring of the other one though. Minus the lighter blue spots. Overall this one is much better and the previous revamp a million times better than the original.

That is, in arid - the cherry colour will go there as well as in the eyes. In cream, the teal colour will go there, as well as in the eyes.<br />
