Ugh, you people are to picky and those saying the angles where wrong? Um...they didn't CHANGE from the last one. It got a little darker, got ear markings, darker stripes and gained a tooth from the previous revamp. Yet people are saying that one was so much better? Just because a bat can move his ears does not mean that it will move it like that. It's a very unnatural angle for even a bat's ears. If you look at it, the top part looks like it's either pushed down or wind-blown.<br />Actually, I do recall what a neck is, and I attempted hunching over like that myself, with my neck tilted back like that, my back hunched and my shoulders hunched forwards, and it was very uncomfortable for me.<br />And where the dragons from Animal Planet's Dragon real? If I remember, they where digitally created and not filmed in the wild. A fantasy 'made real' doesn't mean that those huge things could get off the ground with wings like that. While I am fully aware that the Lasirus isn't real, I adore bats and the furry little guys use the wings for so much- flying, walking, grabbing things, holding fruit, cuddling their children, scooping insects out of the air, even hopping. Unless the Lasirus somehow has that... charcoal powered body?-or steam, was it?- and hollow bones that the dragon has, I doubt it would work here.<br />And it's not widened far enough. If you look at the far wing, just above the knee, we have a white spot without any membrane, meaning that the wing cuts in sharply and it would hinder the bat's movement by catching minimal or no updraft or breeze by the body, where it- with its small wings- would need it the most.

Given the fact that the Lasirus is not an 'ordinary' bat, I'd say it has the right to use the batty ability to twist its ears whichever way it wants, whenever it wants, regardless of whether there is wind or not.<br />
Remember, bat ears are stiff, not floppy like some dogs, that need wind to blow them back, and even dogs with needles ow! ed ears, or cats, have the ability to lay their ears back without any wind showing up. Besides, stiff ears, even in high wind, rarely get blown back.<br />

Only suggestion I have is to add a leaf-type nose, to make it look more batty :3 Right now it looks rather.. doggish with the muzzle like it has.

I think the pose is much better and some aspects far surpass the current version, but the reason I voted for the old one is - this version's head reminds me too much of the Dragarth's. It just strikes me as not bat-like and just as if we've got yet another dragon/dog animal, only this one has wings. <br />

the only thing i like about it is it's transparent wings. they looks cool. i really don't like it's tail and ears. i think the outlines are too thick in some spots, and i think you should pick a whole new set of colours!<br />

I like it, I don't think that the head looks small at all, in fact it is almost too big. I would have liked to have a choice between this one and the previous revamp option though.

Srill don't like it. There seem to be hardly any differences, from the tilt of the war to the tiny head to the fact that the poor bat wouldn't be able to fly and the fact that he looks crammed into the box. The only things I CAN see different are the stripes and the smile. It looks like too much time has been spent decorating the cake than making sure that it's cooked properly, if you follow. Fine detailing is all good and dandy, but you NEED the basics down. For the ears to be tilted in that direction, there needs to be wind, and the entire fluffy bits of it would be blowing in that direction and not just the ears. It wouldn't be able to fly, either, with the wings not connected properly. The membranes on a bat's wings are connected differently than a bird's wings... and the way it's hunched looks highly uncomfortable with it's head tilted back like that.

I voted for the new one. I loved the previous version of this revamp, but I think the dark brown around the ears is even better. And if there have to be stripes, then I think making them darker and adding them to the back was a good choice. They looked oddly placed highlights before.<br />

What I liked about the old Lasirus was the size of the head. The smaller head on the new one throws off the tucked-in look, and the ears are stiff, and lack the texture of a bat's ears. However, I like the new lineart style, plus the stripes.

Nestly, you do beautiful work. ♥ My only quibbles are stylistic - I'm not sure the dark stripes on the body really contribute anything to the pet (I was one of the few who liked the pale leg stripes in the first proposal), and I still prefer the hunched back and the "I'm scared of myself" psychotic expression of the original. This one does look more psychotic than the first proposed revamp, but it's more of a... sort of aggressive psychotic, or something.<br />

I like it... only thing I coud ask for is maybe to see abt more membrane.. some spread in the wings. Just my opinion of course, he's following ( he being the character, not Nestly) the old pose which wasnt very open winged either.

I still like the old one better. I guess it's the schema of childlike characteristics with the big head and eyes that contrasts so nicely with the evil/ really awesome cool fun person y expression <img src="http://www.subeta.org/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" /> It made it unique in some way. Both redraws just look like some boring pets to me, I couldn't even tell from which pet site.

I like the original revamp's face (and lighter lack of stripes as well). The smile is so big that it alomst looks like it's jaw is going to fall off. But just about anything is better than the current one. :/ The new ear markings are nice, though.

By the way, I absolutely LOVE the new Lasirus. Almost no complaints - I adore the expression and I love how the wings have a bit of transparency to them. The feet and tail look great and are positioned nicely. The only thing that looks slightly awkward is the back ear.

Meh, just nice to have a a lot of variety between each pet and personally don't want to see so many with canine characteristics(heck, even the Dragarth looks half dog). <br />
The first revamp posted was pretty much perfect. The smaller grin made the muzzle look slim, shorter, sly and less "GUHH??". It's still nice, and a good job on the small tweaks, but the face just ruins it for me.

That's great! The only suggestions I have are to put an attaching membrane inside the elbow, and those tail rings are still way too big. Mammals with naked tails have corrugated skin there, or 'scales', that are layered in fine rows like corn kernals and are there to protect the bare skin for thermoregulation purposes; at a distance the furrows between the rows are all that shows, giving the appearance of rings, but they are narrow. I know that these are fantasy animals, but so much attention has been paid to making biological sense of many of them, which is very cool. <img src="http://www.subeta.org/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />

The only complaints I have are that the back ear doesn't look natural. It looks smushed down :/ Also, I liked the big-eyed cutish look of the old one. This one is aimed more at being ferocious, and though I like that, I don't see why it couldn't be cute and ferocious. But other than that, it looks good.

Wonderful. It's got a bit of an evil grin without looking like it will bite your head off. There's enough there for people to give it either a slightly evil personality, a cute personality or something inbetween. I loved the anatomy from the start and with the small changes it looks even better. The dark, instead of old light, markings gives it more unity of color throughout. New revamp for the win!

Now that's a keeper! Definitely more proportionate than the old one, which did resemble a furry pumpkin head. Love the darker colour and markings, along with the jaunty tail tassel and those awesome wings! The wicked expression with those barely concealed fangs implies a darker personality. Bravo!!!
