Tribal leader, High Priest Kahaleitzli, recently agreed to issue a statement to us regarding the final offering that has created such a stir.

I've actually thought a bit about this, and I think both sides of the war are blowing this statement way out of proportion XD Mostly the pirates though. My reasons:
Just thinkin of logic <3
- They never actually say a sacrifice. People just assume that person + offering = MUST GIVE UP THEIR LIFE. Maybe they need someone as an ambassador? I've heard a lot of claims that they need to use "outsiders" for this so called "sacrifice". Well if they've been doing this for years before how did they get their "sacrifice" then? Either they got insanely lucky with people washing up on their shores or they just use their own (and apparently if they used their own the islanders probably would have jumped at the chance seeing as they think its such an honor) This is just my theory though feel free to rip it to shreds XD
- The pirates kidnapping. Okay is it just me or do you find a problem with people who have NEVER KIDNAPPED WOMEN FOR THE RIGHT REASONS taking women away? These girls seemed happy and dandy right up until drunks kidnapped them. No one's seen from them, heard from them, or anything since then, which if they were good pirates we could at least know they were safe BU (is that such a crime?) Yet the islanders get blamed for it cause of something they....MIGHT....do?....I'm a bit curious on this.
- Islanders kinda blow things outta proportion too. Pirates aren't always bad people, they're just drunks <3 And whats wrong with being a drunk pirate it makes them more funny. In their intoxicated state they probably thought it was best for the girlies but you'd think they'd get a little bit more sense into them after they became sober (haha I just thought of a sober pirate how silly of me). But yeah, it could all just be a misunderstanding c:
