You can now send pets to your friends! This can be accomplished by going to your pets page, and clicking on the pet you'd like to send.
Choose the option "Give pet to friend" and you can send it to anyone on your buddy list.
Reminder: There is no pet selling or trading on Subeta. If you are caught selling pets and sending them via this method, you will be frozen. :)

Uh, to me, this is a little stupid. Other then the fact that you gain another pet what's the difference between trading and sending? If you're going to let people send pets over to each other you might as well let them trade. Because no DOUBT people will use this as a trading thing. Unless you keep your eye's wide open for that there's no preventing it. Even when you do watch over this like a hawk, you're likely to miss some trading.

No trading? How silly. I thought it was awesome when neo finally allowed trading-- but they made it stupid. You can only do it a limited number of times per whatever amount of time.

this is a awesome idea as i adopt alot of pets and have lost them while trying to find homes but everthing has its ups and downs.thank you subeta staff for a awesome site it just gets better every week.

Thank you for this! I've adopted several pets (and thankfully I managed to catch all of them) but I'm always worried that I'll be too slow and someone else will snag the pet before me.
Also, does the person receiving the pet have to click an accept button before they get it? Because it's unfair if there's no accept button and someone sends you a pet that you don't want.

Thank you SO much. As it so happens, I was just having a pet dilemma because of a lack of free pet slots. Now I can ask my sister if she'll hold a pet for me without having to worry about pound snatchers. Keep being awesome, Subeta. ^-^
This is awesome! I'm glad trading still isn't allowed, but now pets can't be snatched in the pound! This makes any plans of me trying to enlist friends to snag names ten times less nerve-racking
I love this idea, but my question is if I send my pets to my Mom to hold so I can get the "room for 1" achievement, will this pose a problem and look suspicious? She would only obviously have them for as long as it took me to get it.

Trading pets is an absolutely terrible idea for a larger website like Subeta. It won't be long before people start sticking "value" tags on pets... I could already envision something like, "This pet is UFT! Seeking other rare pets of the same value!"

The term 'pet hoarders' refers to the users who stalk the adoption forums, apply for pets, get them, and then get bored of them, going through them like water just for the sake of having that "OMFG AMAZING NAME". People do it. I saw it over the two month span I spent searching for a pet to fill my last slot- I went to the board again recently, and saw the same users searching for a pet to fill their last slot permanently. That'll make things easier for people who want to adopt older pets. ^^ I got my Pandoras_Illusion that way. And Remithian. I would zap pets for others but I am too in love with each my 13 pets to give any up and free a slot. They are my babies.

You really aren't very familiar with the pet threads, are you? Seriously, this will be a huge help for all of the people who zap and adopt out pets. Not to mention people do give pets to their friends, and using the pound makes some people really nervous.

Not that I'd do it, as I love my pets, but if someone has 11 pets slots (the +5 for the GA and +1 for the loyalty box) and then sent all but one of their pets out to get the Only Room for One achievement, would they lose their +1 slot, going back down to 10?

I fail to see the benefit in pet swapping. If it's for achievements then the acheivements should be hard-earned, not an easy swappie with a friend. There's more satisfaction that way. Same goes for the BC, tbqh it should be another case of DIY. Things in life don't just get handed to you, it's gonna detract from the fun of earning an acheivement or winning a BC tourny when it's too easy.
Agreed @Something_wicked and @RISQUE. While I see all the advantages of making safe transfers of pets, associating it with an achievement is bait for this to be abused. Sure you can send it to a buddy on your list, but it can only be stressed so much that you should only do so with users you trust.

I think it'd help more than hurt. When my friend asked if I wanted her pet Rhode, I was scared she'd be snatched in the pounce when we were coordinating the adoption. It would have been much easier to get her with this kind of thing in place.

While I do like this, because it's a safe way to make sure you get the pet in the pound if your transfering pets or receiving pets..I have a feeling people are going to take advantage of this and sell. :/

I am not a fan of this at all for the reasons people have already stated. Trading pets around to gain items/achievements/etc seems counterproductive to what subeta has been working toward with the BC revamp.

This is a very good feature if you're going away for some time (longer than a month, I guess).

This makes it easier for people to take the cheater's way out to get achievements(which I personally don't give a damn about, but c'mon guys, a lot of people work hard for them.) and trade super high level pets for battling events and such.
Also, I have heard the problems of people 'stealing' pets from the pound during a prearranged transfer. I wouldn't consider it stealing. If you are serious about adopting someone's pet, SEND THEM A PM. OMG, LYKE, I KNO ITS SO HARD RITE. If you arrange the time for transfer over a PM, NOT A COMMENT, then it's pretty much fool proof if the other person is in the adoption center and has the pet's name in the search bar, and hits the search button at said time, and adopts AT SAID TIME. Not too hard. I can't being to tell you how many times I've done it. NEVER had a problem.

I like this idea! This way if a user doesn't want a given pet, but a friend does, they can send it over without risking it in Adopt-R-Us. I got two of my pets through friends, but is STRESSFUL snatching them up in Adopt-R-Us, because you're always worried that someone's going to take it. So thanks, Subeta! Great idea!!

The only thing I'm a little iffy about is the fact that usually when I adopt pets out, I'm not adopting them out to my friends. I'm not really fond of the idea of having to add someone who is virtually a stranger to my friend's list just to insure a safe transfer : (

but wont this ruin the purpose of the new battle colliseum ?? if they now send over a strong pet to eachother, everyone can off course beat every strong opponent ??
or will you have to remove all weapons first and empty youre treasure chest before you can send over a pet ??
will all weapons attached dissappear and will stats be reset to zero if going to a new owner ??
will weapons loose theire earned points in the new battle system if sending it ??

I have a question. There is an option to turn down a pet sent to you if you don't want it right? Probably is, just making sure.
This is great, but i think that we should be aloud to trade since just giving pets might not last so long. And im thinking that people will creat pets with stupid names and send them just for the fun of it and they would heve to be put in the pound. There is alreday a bad amout of those kinds of pets in the poiund already, its kinda sad. There is also the posibility that someone will be nice and give back a pet since you sent one in the first place and they could be frozen wrongly and that would cause alot of problems.

i really like this idea :d i've had friends hold pets for me until i got a gold account a couple times recently, and now i won't have to worry about having the transfer interrupted anymore.

I don't know if someone's asked this already, but what if your friend has more than 5 pets? Does s/he need to have an available pet spot first?
So --- is it considered TRADING when you give all of your pets except one, to a friend, so you can get the ONLY ONE achievement and they send them all back to you? @ Keith @ Lugia

After the disgusting boards on the bragging and complaining chats lately where people are harassed for getting a pet from the pound I am glad they made a transfer system. I sitll believe though, the pathetic people who were harassing people who got a pet FAIRLY in the pound before as it was free game should be ashamed of themselves and should have gotten at least a warning for harassment as it is disgusting who some of those people were posting. I loved this site, and once I read those boards, and saw how NASTY a lot of people are, it really changed my oppinion of this site.

Very good idea. Great work Keith and staff! On another pet site I lost a certain adorable pet in less than a second, lol. I don't do a lot of adopting, etc, but this will stop a lot of heart break.

I think this is good for people adopting out their pets, in the sense that neither have to be on at the same time to try and do the transfer. However, I'm sure there will be some people who'll secretly trade pets (sMailing). But it probably happened even before this new feature, so...I dunno, I won't really use it much, if at all. I love my pets and don't have the room for anymore just yet.

Moirae -- Absolutely, and that's how the system was intended to work. If you put your pet in the pound, it was up to you to make sure that the other user got it. We never returned pets, or stepped in.
However, I find this system makes a lot more sense. If you're sending a pet to someone, you're sending a pet to someone. If you're putting a pet in the pound, you're putting the pet in the pound. Do you go to your SCPA to give a kitten to your friend?

This is a new feature. I'm going to be watching the number of pets sent, how quickly they are sent back, etc. If it looks like I need to, we will add limitations, restrictions, etc.
I don't really know how to feel about it. I can see that much good could come out of it. I guess it's just a strange concept to me. But, if it's going to make things easier for everyone in the long run, and if people like it, then that's great.

Finally, no more rabid arguments in B&C over interrupted pet transfers! I guess the most recent incident was the final straw for Keith.

It is very different than lending out wardrobe sets. Pets take much much longer to level up with stats than it does to make sP to buy wardrobe sets.
