I forgot to say it in my first comment,but I wanted to say an additional Congrats to Clockpunk for one of their pets winning a spotlight during the uber steampunk Masquerade XD Thought that was really fitting <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />
Wholly hell! I`m so proud to see one of Al`s overlays on a Spotlight Winner! I hope to see Ly`s finished page, and I`m rooting for her big time. xD
Just an FYI to people saying it's rude to question the nomination: No one's complaining at the owner of the pet. =/ They're asking why the person who nominated the pet felt they should do so when the page clearly isn't finished. I find the pet adorable and should have said so in my original comment (sorry @Clockpunk for that!) but people are allowed to question things. =)

I. . . .actually dont see how any of the comments are rude or even very negative :/. No one's calling anyone names or saying something outright sucks (which it doesnt), just pointing things out that need to be fixed in a rather civilized way. If anything, they're critiquing the page and it's not harsh at all. I've seen way worse. . . . That's just how I kind of see it. . . .

I'm kind of...confused? I wish I understood more how the TC related to the pet (if it does at all), and the grammar/spelling mistakes are a bit distracting.
I just want to say, not everyone is some amazing writer who is good at grammar and stuff. They have great ideas but maybe they just cant put it on paper. Or maybe they aren't good in English? Not everyone is a writer but they come up with amazing ideas for pets. I think that's what counts. And not everyone is good at spelling. I know I'm not. I have to read over everything I write.
Look at my pet's, People like my ideas but I'm sure the story sucks or has grammar mistakes. But I still try, I'm no writer.

Honestly, I think most of the rude comments come from jealousy! As someone who has worked her ass off on a pet profile I know it's no easy task; double so if you're not typically artistically inclined either. I think it's a great job on the pet! And you deserve the spotlight <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" /> Personally, I like the surprise of being nominated <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_smile.gif" border="0" />

Maybe there should be a button where you can click whether you want your pet to be able to be nominated for the spotlight; to avoid further rudeness to owners who are still working on the profiles & such.

Congrats on the win! Ignore the people who can't catch on that the owner of the pet has no say in the matter when it comes to being nominated. :p
well i think so far its awesome and yes users go around nominating pets that are half done gee my pets are as well and they are no where finished.its actually whoever decided to pick the pets fault as they have to check it to see if it all fits into the rules.anyways that my 2 cents worth lol..

However, thanks for the rather... I wont say rude, more negative, comments. I didn't realized the background was so bright. I will tone that down. As for the TC, it's supposed to tie into the character. I never got around to doing that before it was to late.
=/ I'm not sure I agree with this one either. The Treasure Chest doesn't seem to relate to the character description at all, other than the one statement that the stuff in the TC is steampunk... Which is kinda obvious. What does it have to do with the character? The background is also kinda painful, and I keep my screen dark. I can only imagine how people with brighter resolutions must feel.
Actually, I thought the pet spotlight was suppose to be for finished pet pages, or more cohesive at least. Congrats anyways.
