@Galaxia Yeah, they are the Horns and Roses eyes. Bummer. I was fairly new when Peka-Boo happened so I wasn't aware that there was any controversy going on.
They're my favorite wardrobe item, I haven't taken them off since I got them, so I hope that eventually they'll be available for those who want them but didn't get them from the event.

@Slowerthanzero: that's good to hear; you're 7 years older than me, by the way! So, two things in response to our little conversation:
So I found out Candida is a family of harmful yeasts, I do hope that variety didn't give you too much trouble;)
I also had a 'supposed' bout of momentary strep, at least that was the only thing they could find in my system... about 9 months ago, I got really bad cold flashes, to the point where I couldn't sleep at all because my whole body was cramping and jittering with each wave. Apparently it greatly receded while I drank hot water to try and releive the jitters to transport me to the hospital, but as I was being checked in, it seemed to really stop. All they found in my body besides an extremely WBC was a little bit of strep; my symptoms didn't seem to match, so they figured I might have been a carrier instead of a receiver. Don't believe they found anymore strep in the later tests... Weird experience for me.

@terrerio35 Aha thank you. And yeah it was not very fun at all, luckily the distraction of the toys was actually strong enough I either barely felt it, or on a couple of occasions I didn't even notice they had even done anything until mom and I were leaving and I was sitting there confused cause I thought they hadn't done anything. So I guess I was pretty lucky on that, cause iirc this was a weekly thing or something like that. 8D
I'm fairly confident I won't relapse, I officially announced to be in remission since I was about 10 and I'm now 27 and I haven't even gone back to the doctor for anything since then aside from recently I had a minor case of strep but that's beside the point. ;3

@Slowerthanzero: :-[ guhh, terrible! I'm surprised you aren't important freaked out yet, constantly having something like a Lumbar Puncture would be super painful at a young age, especially since you can't take painkillers or anaesthetics before that test. It would be necessary, though, especially for cancer or any infections while you're immune system is compromised. I still have yet to look at what your 'infection' is, but my guess is they could have tested the spinal fluid partly for that, too. Best wishes you don't relapse!?

@terrerio35 Oh wow. Yeah I'd have prolly been angry in a situation like that too. One thing I had to deal with quite often were spinal taps.. Not a fun experience. But one I eventually was able to not notice happening if I was kept distracted enough with some of the little toys they had in the room to help.

@Hellbent If those are the Horns N' Roses eyes, they won't be more available; after the bitterness and outcry at the time of the event, more of those prizes being available was discussed (and then pretty promptly shot down). The record is available through playing that street pass game, but other than that I was under the impression the matter had already been settled. If staff changed their mind on the abominable handling of the ban prizes, I'm happy to hear it. But I'm not holding my breath.

@Slowerthanzero: [0o0] such trauma... the worst I ever got when I was a kid was a surgical test... I always thought was an'explorative' surgery, but apparently they were taking samples of my digestive tract to figure out if my constipation and lack of nutrient intake was caused by anything serious. The constipation is chronic, and underweightedness was temporary, only lasted until the end of elementary school:) My mom said that when I woke up, I was really angry at everyone (including the doctor) because they put me to sleep AND did a surgery...

oh cool! Will you be releasing the prize items from peka boo, too? People always ask what my eyes are and I always feel bad when I have to tell them that they were from an event that they missed. Maybe they could be put in the antique shop?

@terrerio35 Oh, I hated liquid medicines so much when I was little. So much that once I was able to start taking pills instead I would cause I couldn't stand the bitterness of those cough medicines and the like.. Well with my childhood I had that issue plus far more....
The needles, latex gloves, pills, casts, stehtecopes, wheelchairs, etc are all triggering me a bit. From the ages of 3 to about 10 I fought against Leukemia and a Candida Tropicallis infection that combined nearly took my life.. And many of those items I dealt with on a nigh daily basis too. Seeing them all jumbled into one little shop is really giving me that creepy vibe and makes me just a little bit uncomfortable....

@Slowerthanzero: agreed. Some of mine include the bitter-tasting variety of cherry cough syrup that was all too common during my childhood; then there's this one disgustingly sweet chocolate syrup-ish liquid my parents were feeding me in a cough syrup-measuring spoon... I was probably six years old, so I have no idea what it was for, I'm just glad it was temporary...:(

I did a cursory check on six of these and many of these items were not all that expensive or impossible to find in usershops. It looks like unnecessary release to me.
