@poppy I'm really sorry if it came off that way, I was just meaning as a whole from several comments I've seen on here and I feel like yours was the most concise in point out what the issue people seem to be having with this was. They're creepy and meant to be that way, and I kind of feel it's a bit like the argument people have tried to leverage against graveyard and nightmare pets in the past too. It's not for everyone, for sure, but one of the things I love about Subeta is that if those are too creepy or too much nightmare fuel or w/e then there are other pet colors. People don't generally complain about the non-creepy pet colors unless it's something to do with the posing, which I can understand to an extent, and it seems like graveyard and nightmare pets, and now riftborn too, are just getting flack for being creepy when that's how they're supposed to be.
I'm sorry if I'm not making sense, I'm not entirely sure how to articulate the point here other than what I said before and as I said I wasn't meaning to call you out specifically I was just referring to the general attitude of people disliking riftborn pets. Anyway thank you, I'm having a pretty good week otherwise and I hope you are too ^^

@Sigilmancy - I hope you don't mean my comment. I never meant to say that the artist work was sub-par or that the concept work was not creative and interesting. I was simply asking if others found the idea to be disturbing. And commenting on how awesome the color scheme is. I am an artist, too. But my work is no where near the level of amazing that the Subeta artists are working on, or most CW artists for that matter! <3

Honestly I love these and I'm 100% on the train of if you love the color scheme but hate the idea save up and get an overlay like other people do. It really irritates me that people can so casually put down all the work put into riftborn pets for a very unique color that's nothing like anything else on the site. I understand not liking the concept, the multiple eyes/mouths/teeth isn't for everyone, but still. I agree that it's like saying there's too much fire on a reborn pet or too many gears on a steamworks pet; the entire concept behind them is the crazy poses and eyes/mouth/teeth and I doubt if that will change.

also meant to mention, whenever I see the riftborn releases, my brain reads it as "reborn" and when I know it's been released (such as the reborn terracoon), I have to question my own memory. riftborn pets mentally screw with me that way. LOL

if you love the color scheme but hate the concept then why not get overlays for your pets like a reborn pet but with the rift palette? easy solution lol

When I take the trash out at night, this is what I picture will jump out and attack me. That rustle in the bushes, that eerie feeling that you are being watched...yes, this is what is out there. Riftborn Terracoon will eat you! Tt doesn't matter if it is facing you or looking away...mouths all over will turn you into a meal! *shudder*

The rift born pets are all just remarkably well done :D Plus scary in a Hermaeus Mora/Lovecraft way.

I'm really loving this colour, the eyes and teeth are wonderfully trippy looking and make the colour very unique. I think taking the teeth and eyes out of the designs would be like saying there's too much fire on the reborns, or too many gears on the steamworks.

Oooh I love LOVE taking the strips and making them mouths. These riftborn pets are always so creative and weird! I think it's my favorite color for how bizarre the poses and anatomical changes are.

I vote for making at least a few that are not covered in teeth and such... I mean not ALL rift things have a plethora of teeth and eyes. I remember the original rift. *serious nods* There was a nice even mixture of galactic-looking-rifty things without teeth/eyes and a few with teeth and a few with eyes.
Some of those battle challengers were AMAZING -- what happened with that concept?

Alright, I like this one, it's very impressive, and much better than the Irion (Sorry, I didn't like that one because its position looked too awkward).
