This little harvester is very unlucky when it comes to his job. He always ends up being fired or resigning or running for his life. He is currently working as a gardener in the same manor as Marinette and grew very attached with the other domestics. But even there he is looking for a part-time job, because he fears his clumsiness will make him fired.

Story

Early life

His life would surely have been easier if he had chosen to stay in the traditional path of tourism death guide. But taking souls, explaining them they are dead, hearing their complaining and their lives, always walking on the same path, rarely going in the world of the living... It displeased him a lot. He felt he wouldn't be able to bear this all his life. Nobody opposed his decision, so he went in the outside world, determined to live there. To ease his insertion, he was given a Mecha-melifera who would translate unknown languages for him.

Learning to forget his old life

The first issue he had to face was his very nature. He is very good at finding corpses and knowing if someone is going to die soon. So he had to refrain from using his scythe on a corpse. It was a reflex, as it was conceived to cut the link between the soul and the corpse. But as he gave up his original job, his scythe had lost its power to take souls and acted as a normal scythe. He still kept it, as a reminder of his old life (he would tell friends he used to work in the fields).

Towards a new life

Later, he met Mumyo and Edmund which seemed to be from a cousin species of Harvesters. His first job was with them, the first of a long series. As time passed he became good at blending and at noticing signs of a visit of his "cousins", who sometimes bring him with them to travel to another place/time period. He is presently a gardener at a manor and even if he doesn't do well, he feels at home at last.

Past jobs :

Mumyo
Armel couldn't bear using his scythe to kill people so he quitted quickly.

Neige
He was part of the staff who took care of her. His clumsiness helped her escape. He was fired.

Yuuto
They were coworkers at the factory before he was changed into a butterfly. Without Yuuto to help him, Armel did some serious damage to the installations and got sacked.

Kumoshitsuji
This patient kumos dressed as a butler is surprisingly not interested in destroying plants. In fact he does less damage to the garden than Armel.

doraphobia
He was supposed to watch over visitors at the vivarium but he was busy outside when the poor girl fell and got eaten by the reticulated pythons. The zoo failed to put all the responsibility of the accident on him, so he "only" got fired.

Ignace
Armel could swear he saw him light up the gas with his fingers, but it's not like anybody would believe him, so he shuts up.

Marinette
He feels close to this strange maid as she is as clumsy as him.

Angiekins
She was the only nurse who thought he was doing a good job. After seeing him, patients were usually less reluctant to get their injection/remedy. When she became obsessed with zombies he was accused of "corrupting her" and was fired.

Clothilde
His absent-mindedness made it easier for her to empty a showcase of ancient jewels. He got accused of complicity and was sacked.

Solene
She is the one who taught him everything he knows about gardening. He discovered early she was digging corpses and left her as soon as he could.

Hippolyte
The baker's bad mood made it hard not to quit the job. But when he discovered his soft side, it was really nice to work with him. Unfortunately, Anon destroyed too many buttercream christmas logs and got sacked afterwards.

Leandre
Anon was his assistant before Leandre met La Fouine. He failed at tag-along so much he eventually got fired.

Caterine
He spent some time with her, giving leaflets, demonstrating and organizing meet-ups. It's the only time he changed his common cloak to another one (with lots of flowers). He got fired because of the company restructuring.

Gauthier
It's certainly the job from which Armel was fired the quickest : working at a bank isn't easy everyday and Gauthier is particularly strict.

Albertine
He got fired after someone leaked pictures of him attending a soirée featuring a performance of Albertine's burlesque club.

Oriane
For the first time he had the opportunity to feel a bit more like himself role-playing a necromancer. He unfortunately got a bit loud when he was OHKO'd by Oriane and got sacked for playing during working hours.

Fantine
Strangely, he doesn't remember her.

Felicie
He worked with her as a lab assistant but was in fact an animal activist undercover. He was fired after his cover was blown up.

Firmin
He was a temporary replacement at Firmin's school. He didn't get sacked, but Mumyo appeared at the right time before an attempt destroyed his home.

Libellule
He was part of the staff who took care of her at the hospital. He got sacked when the hospital had to reduce the staff because of budget constraints.

Loge
He worked on building the scenery for Der Rhinegold at Beyreuth festival. It was an exciting but short job and he left after the festival as the crew disbanded.

Beguile
How was he supposed to resist ? After loosing so many jobs, he couldn't find it in him not to succomb.

Hvedrung
As a servant, he got the opportunity to witness one of the king's monologues. Assuming he would be killed if the king got aware of his presence at that moment, he quickly escaped from the palace.

Svadilfari
He was working as a slave at the giant's stables when the "Svadilfari accident" occured. Obviously, he had to look for somewhere else to go afterwards.

Stephane
He never knew what Stephane's gender was, but he didn't care about that as long as he didn't get fired.

Pluie

Lipton
Armel often wonders how he managed to work so long with such a grumpy boss in a posh teahouse when he hated tea in the first place.

Hela
His first boss, but he never met her. It would feel weird now that he has met her father, albeit in a different reality.

Iormungand
He met him one day while diving as he looked for a treasure lost in the ocean... Although his comrades say it was only oxygen deprivation that made him hallucinate.
