They tell me that I am crazy and insane but I'm not. People in society, they are the crazy ones! They abandoned me because I was different. No one is normal, normal simply doesn't exist. I may lack eyes and a nose but so what? I can hear, feel, taste and talk better than most. My lack of certain senses doesn't make me anything less than a person. I grew bitter and resentful, until the day I met the only person who showed me kindness and for that I am forever in his debt.
Master as he likes to be called was the first to talk to me like a person not a creature. Nor did he treat me like some poor creature. He nicknamed me Minion. Always told me to be a minion is to be "one highly favored." He brought me to his lovely home, which I can tell is very grand and open. I may be blind but I can sense the air in ways you would consider like radar. My ears can pick up the faintest vibrations, change in pressure or sound.
I've been here for years.Everyday I knock on Master's door awaiting his permission to enter when one day he stopped responding. So I thought perhaps he was in a bad mood which he has been in before and wanted to be left alone. Then one day I hear him, "Minion, I respond less and less to your knocks because I can barely hear them." I rushed to his side and caressed his poor face. "I am not like you my poor Minion with incredible ears." So I asked him how could I fix them. He told me he needed new ones...
We call it "replacing" and whenever Master tells me something is ailing him I go out to get what he needs. Despite all these treatments he still remains in his room. I would bring him food right now but he said last week he had a stomach ache and I have yet to procure a new one. It is actually quiet easy to do. Luckily Master is a patient one who doesn't mind if it takes me a few days to do the task. This grand mansion gets visitors every once in a while. Fools who barge in thinking this house is abandoned. Society has it in for me I swear! They shun me out and now they barge right in, but Master's plan solved that problem.
I simply wait for someone to come in. If I am in a rush I grab them as soon as they enter, but if I am bored I let them wander about. The struggle is my 2nd favorite part, they kick and scream but I'm always stronger. Occasionally I drag them across the floor with my tail, you know to do some spring cleaning. I hate the way the dust feels on my feet. Then I take what I need with usually just my claws they tend to do the trick. Once I extract the part, I delicately wrap it in a towel and bring it to the Master. I do not kill them but some have died from donating.
My favorite part is when the Master praises me for a job well done. I carefully take what is damaged from him and insert or sew what is new. "Minion my loyal one. Thank you" It makes me proud to serve and help him after all the kindness he has shown me.
