"Selling a Cockatiel!" One ad said on the infamous Craigslist, "moving and can't take." Two calls came in and only one came through and bought a handsome bird. He watched his new owner with a small tilt of his head, but months later he was back on the site. Moving was another excuse. The Cockatiel sighed as he sat on the perch of his nearly empty cage, fluffing up his feathers as he listens a kid run by with laughter. It was a bit loud here, but it didn't bother him. He turned his head to look at the aquarium behind him, watching the fish wiggle by with small little 'bloops'. Then a knock on the door.

"Oh come in, come in!" The owner said excitedly, giving the visitors a bright smile as she lets three people in. A family? The bird watched them curiously, fluffing up his feathers for a moment before realizing that they're safe. "This is Snow, the one who's for sale." She said, putting her hand on the cage before frowning. "Sadly I have to move to California and I can't take him with me."

One lady, young, couldn't keep her eyes off the bird as she gives him a smile. "Hello handsome," she said softly as she leans in a bit to examine the bird some more. Snow tilted his head again, letting out a loud chirp before hissing in an attempt to scare her away - but that only made her laugh. "He's perfect, we'll take him." Another female voice said, handing over the money with another smile. The younger female seemed really excited, taking the bag of food and the cage before leaving the little home with the brother following behind.

'This doesn't seem so bad,' the bird thought, looking up at the females with another chirp as they drove home in the dark, fluffing up his feathers once they made it home. Luckily it wasn't too far but to him, it was. "I think his name should be Romeo." The young female said, earning two agreements from the others as they walked to their apartment.

"Romeo it is. Welcome home, handsome."
