The doctor wrinkled his nose a little as he studied the test results. He sighed a few times and nodded his head. Nom wriggled uncomfortably in his seat. He didn't like visiting the doctors. They always complained about his expanding waistline, and Nom found that rather embarrassing.

"You need more exercise, Nom. And less food, definitely less food". The doctor was being a little firmer than usual. "Your test results are not very encouraging. Can you try a little harder? Maybe consider joining a gym?" Nom couldn't help but let out a little snort. But he knew deep down that the doctor was right. Maybe he could try to get fitter? He had never really applied himself before. He took a deep breath and replied "I will try, Doc. With your help, who knows. Maybe I can!"

The doctor smiled and nodded approvingly. He patted Nom on the head and asked him to come back every month so they can check on his progress. Nom left the surgery with several diet sheets, a discount voucher for the local gym, and some easy to do exercises at home. He also left with determination, to become a slimmer, healthier Nom. Time will tell if he can do it!
