Long Live the Queen

She had been sleeping for the past five millenia deep inside the mountain. A mountain the ancient ancestors of the current generation named after her - Mt. Kaiju. Each time she rolled to her other side, the earth would tremble and the people feared the mountain could possibly explode. But it never did. And as time went on, the people forgot about her and believed she was a mere folktale - The Heart of the Mountain.

She liked the heat of the Earth's magma, and the firmness of the floor was great for her back. But as time went on, she could feel in her deep slumber things changing. The air, the vibrations, and even the energy beneath her were different slowly waking her from her dreams.
She vowed long ago that, that life of her was over but it looked like the humans needed her one more time. Even if they forgot her.

Kaiju was retired from fighting after being crowned Queen of the Monsters and chose to sleep forever in a deep depression. But one day, after a new threat awakened she woke from her sleep and decided to dust off the claws one last time. After the fight, she felt good to be helpful to the humans and she realised Earth needed her to help bring balance back to the natural world and the planet itself.

After the latest fight - the biggest fight of her life she realised she didn't want to go back to sleep forever. And with so many other monsters now awoken, she wanted to do something else with her life and with her time so she chose to open up a bakery for monsters to come and find rest and peace (and delicious baked goods).
